HLG upgrade for 4x4

I have been looking around for awhile now and have read multiple posts about this. I am looking for opinions from members. I currently have a 4x4 tent I am looking to upgrade to HLG. Should I use 2 260 kits, 2 260 xl, the 550, 2 of the 320s. Ideally what would offer the best coverage/spread in my 4x4?

I am thinking 2 of the 260 xls but I am not certain. I’ve been wanting to order for weeks I just can’t make the damn decision on which!!

Thanks in advance!

The 550 can’t be had anymore unless you find somewhere else other than HLG’s company website.

The new 600 would be awesome. Maybe too much.

2 320’s would be overkill.

2 260’s wouldn’t offer you the coverage you’d need.

2 260xl kits would be great.

So you have a DIY kit and a plug and play lamp.

I think it’s about a $110 difference.

I’d go with the XL kits and use the extra savings to buy a UVA supplement

Don’t forget to use the promo code “dude”

Two of The HLG 260 V2 R-Spec XL would be a great choice for your 4 by 4 space. As @NeoGroR mentioned .

Thank you for that. That is what I have been leaning towards. @NeoGroR

I am doing the same set up. I already have my 260 xl rspecs. I Am still deciding on which 4x4 tent to get. Tag me in your journal if you start one. I’m a new grower and want to follow along. I will be starting late Sept. or early Oct. depending on life factors. thanks

If you’re a veteran, you can get a nice discount from Gorilla grow tents.

I have an Apollo 3x3 and it works for me. I bought It because they have Metal connectors, not plastic. I think the Apollo tents are now branded Spider Farmer.

You’re going to get hooked. It’s a really fun hobby.

Unfortunately not a veteran here. I will take a look at the Apollo / Spider Farmer tents. I appreciate the recommendation, I’m already addicted to it and I don’t even smoke, lol. I haven’t in 30 years. That could all be changing very soon

Same. I just grow for my wife. I just had my first harvest two weeks ago. Just over 7 ounces off two plants.

It really is a luxury to be able to use one or two ounces just to cook with. And, My closest friends will never have to buy again.

This weekend I’m making Canna Butter. Then using that to make some salted caramels. I will try one of these.

I bought a veg tent and had these girls ready for flowering. So I’ll have another harvest in October or November.

Damn! that’s a beautiful image!! Can’t wait to get to that point!!

Just got a gorilla grow tent, 4 x4 . They cost more than other tents but, they are very nice indeed. Like it or not this hobby or whatever you want to call growing will cost a few $$ . It is well worth it considering the end results. Happy growing . :bat:

Just a quick couple question about HLG kits. Can someone with zero electrical skills eaisly build one of theses “kits”? And what advantages are over “plug & play”?

Yes, there are videos you can follow along with on YouTube. The advantage is that it’s cheaper.

Hi I was wondering if you could help me with my lighting as well. I have a 4x4 tent and a hydro mars 2000w with 3 auto flowers and 2 fem… I was told that’s not going to be enough light as they grow… which light should I get to go along with the one I have?

Do you have the TS 2000?

And do you want to add to what you have or replace?
