Nice. That’s not a bad light. Just not enough light. Can you post a picture of it, just so I can be sure it’s the one I’m thinking of.

I don’t want to mislead you. Thanks!

That’s a nice set up you got going on.

Here are my thoughts. Mars hydro TS series is a good light. By no means is it a bad light. But not great.

Right now the footprint of the light is the issue. You can light a 3x3 space. If you added another one, you’d still be short on lighting for 2-4 square feet.

Mars makes a long light I’d like to see you use. Two of them are perfect for a 4x4. The Mars Hydro TSL 2000. Two of those would rock your tent.

If you can return the one you have now, get two TSL 2000’s

If not, just add one TSL 2000.

Two more options;

the Migro Aray. Two of those would be great for a 4x4. If nothing more, check out his you tube channel. If nothing more, you’ll learn a lot about lights.

And of course an HLG 600 RSpec would kill it. You could pull two pounds out of a 4x4 with that light.

I know I thought about that coverage too before but I made the decision to go with square instead of the long on… I think im going to try and return it and get the longer ones. Also, will I get lower yields because I am running LED rather than HLG?

I also heard LED light last way longer then HLG… because the bulbs let you often…I’m just trying to get the best I can I don’t want to buy something that I’m going to have to be replacing or fixing often

HLG is a brand. Horticulture Lighting Group. Like Mars Hydro, they’re also LED.

It could be argued that HLG uses far superior components than Mars Hydro. They’ll Both last you Years with little maintenance.

However, HLG is a company based in the US (Ohio). I have heard nothing but praise for their customer service. Mars Hydro won’t compare to HLG’s customer service should you ever need it.

I know that HLG will get you amazing yields. I’m sure Mars will get you a good yield too. I’m willing to bet that HLG is better.

HLG is a manufacturer of LED style lights. Maybe you are mistaking HLG for HPS which is a high pressure sodium bulb…
Regardless, If you are looking for LED style lighting HLG or (Horticultural Lighting Group) is the most recommended LED manufacturer here. Look around at what some of the people have grown using them. The results speak for themselves.
I’m a newbie, just spent the money on HLG lights. I learned quick that spending the money on quality lighting is where it’s at.

I tried to find the light you mentioned but it’s not on amazon… I found it on google search but it’s saying over 800$ just for 1 light? And I want to keep my plants apart to they have enough space to flower and breath and I would certainly need more than 1 light… can you send me the link of that specific light? Please? Also what picture are you guys talking about? I don’t see anything? (Sorry new to this forum sometimes I get lost)

The picture is in my grow journal.

1st grow. Let the adventure begin!

How big is the the Space that your lighting?

I assume you’re talking about the HLG 600. It is an expensive light. But the amount of weed it can grow will bring tears to your eyes.

I have a 4x4 not sure what you mean by how big is the space for lighting. With only one of those lights how do you keep the plants apart enough for breathing and growing?

@Covertgrower here is the pics of my space and light

And a new pic of my plants from this morning after I just wet the top layer

You don’t have to keep the plants far apart, my flowering tent is always wall to wall buds under the HLG 550 rspec and they breath and grow just fine.

Hlg will be your most affordable option. I pack mine in there there like Hellraiser does. When you have really good quality lights, they penetrate the canopy well. I also trimmed my lower canopy, so most growth is focused on top.

You can also see my SensorPush sensor in the middle getting a good reading at canopy level.

I have the rapid LED kit for a 4x4 (search rapid led)

How do you like that COB set up? Any harvests with it?

I really dig Rapid LED’s web site. All kinds of cool DIY stuff.

I just bought their UVA puck … ehhh… we’ll see how it goes. I almost wish I would have gone with California Light Works UVB lamp

My entire grow journal has been under these lights. I’ve had countless grow cycles, but been growing for about 4 years under these. I don’t know how they compare to HLG, but I love these lights.
I have the Cree COB’s. 3000K 90CRI seed to harvest. I flowered last time with 400W, this cycle I want to try and hammer them a little more, after I get them in my new grow space I’ll crank them some more. I haven’t checked to see what they’re running at now, but I recently turned them up more. I can check when I get home @NeoGroR

Yo @FreshGrowmie when that tent starts getting warm (And it will) as you turn up the light intensity remember you can mount those shenzhen drivers outside of the tent.
