Opinions on using a complete grow tent kit for first indoor grow

Those two tent brands would be at the top of my list as well. Your point about going with as much height as possible is a good one. With my basement ceiling height I could have only used the Gorilla without the extension kit. So the Gorilla was about twice the price for about the same height as the AC Infinity. So I have the AC Infinity 5x5, and am very happy with it. Especially with such good quality at a good price.

That tent with HLG Scorpian Diablo, AC-Infinity Cloudline Controller 69P, two T6 fans, one Oscillating tower fan, stationary fan, and charcoal exhaust filter and you would be good to go. One hell of an investment in working reliable equipment. Not recommended for illegal growing cause somebody else will want it.
If you know how to grow, go for the best, otherwise little at a time works well., too.

Yep, I would recommend the tent. I am now in the 6th week of flower on my first grow, and I will say this: your environment is second only to the quality of light (others would add feeding/nutrients for the plants, but I went with a living soil so that wasn’t a part of my equation).

Temps and RH are easier (and I say that with a chuckle) to manage in a tent - and each stage of plant growth has different ‘sweet spots’ for temp and humidity. A little tougher to manage in an open room but much more manageable in a tent.

Also, when its lights out - it should be lights out. Although I don’t subscribe to the idea that pinholes and light-leaks will cause your plants to herm, when its supposed to be dark its easier to maintain if your plants are in a tent.

There are other benefits, but those would be two of the most important, in my opinion as a new grower.

Just my two-cents…but good luck and definitely use these forums to help guide your grow (lots of great knowledge).

Peace all the equipment together with Black Friday deals just make a list off of one of the kits you like and piece things together if I were piecing together and affordable kit and that would grow some good buds I would get a vivosun tent a medic grow light and AC Infinity fans just my opinion you would be under a thousand bucks for a nice 4x4 setup which is very reasonable

I won’t buy any other tent they sell the lites now too a little cheaper then a heavy duty gorilla tent.

I’ve had my tent for almost 5 years and all my zippers still zip no light leaks no ripped mylar nothing. You get exactly what you pay for with gorilla grow can’t say enough about them my friend has a cheap vivosun it’s junk and I almost threw the thing out of my house when I grew for him.

Gorilla has been sending me emails about Black Friday Sales. They give some serious discounts during sales. Just checked the website a 5x5 for just under $260! If anyone needs a quality tent now is a good time.

I run vivo Sun tents I don’t really have any issues with them there’s been testing that proves the reflective coating in vivosun beats all the others and vivosun only 100 and a little change for a tent I would rather spend my money other places gorillas way too pricey in my opinion
