I cant in good consciences recommended it. but if it is the advertised mars hydro system it should be ok for one small plant. 100w is bare minimum. best of luck and happy growing

That looks like a scam… just because of the price. I know nothing of the site

Here is a similar kit direct from mars, huge price difference from that one

Tent. Exhaust fan. Good light. Small fan. Carbon filter later when flip. I would go that route and piece it together. Known products. Especially the light. Cheap tent. Medium fan. Premium light.

I agree… When i first started i got burnt on some amazon grow lights. I was advised to look for a light using the samsung lm301 diodes and I believe that to be solid advice. id also advice a minimum of 100w per plant. my first real light was a spider farmer sf2000. its 200w light. I have grown several autoflowers under it 2 at a time with satisfying results. there are many many misleading grow light products on the market.

Too good to be true… obvious scam

But all in all a tent is good to have? I’m still not sure I want to try indoors yet. My first grow was earlier this year being a newbie i had a small harvest but what I did have was pretty fire. Mine was an outside grow.

yes I would go with a tent and exhaust fan. when i first started i just planned to dedicate a room to growing but it was impossible to contain the smell. its also easier to control the conditions, like heat and humidity in a smaller area

It is. Make sure tall. Just mylar and a frame so dont be fancy. Compact. Clean. Sit in a corner. The light though. Be right. Several out there perfectly suitable at a fair price point. Research and get best budget can afford. Bigger than need dimmable. Can grow anything anywhere almost with good lighting.

That $49 is a scam. I’ve fell for that crap before. Go with a reputable company.

Cant emphasize this enough. It is possible to adapt if the plants get too big, but having that height right from the jump is big. There are some that are 80" tall if you look around a little. One brand (drawing a blank on the brand name) even has a kit to make the tent taller. :+1:

So i started with mars hydro. Good leds. But the HPS *high pressure sodium bulbs worked great. I useded to use leds for the vegetable stage. Then You need to hit them hard with nutrition. Advanced grow labs is a good one to talk to. Tell them JC sent you. But if you give me the size of your growing tent I will give you light suggestions. I might give you mine…

I would suggest that you look at the AC Infinity kit, especially if you are somewhat technical. As their kits come with their controllers. This allows for a much cleaner and easier set up, and allows for complete control of the tent from a single point. Their stuff is of good quality also, no fear of a scam here.
Of course with other kits, or a piece mill kit you will end up with a mess of timers, speed controls, wiring and surge strips that resemble a bird nest nightmare.
I have been driven nuts with this stuff, until I cleaned it up. Now when setting up a new tent, I will place a piece of plywood on a wall next to the tent. I mount the drivers, outlets, speed controls, and timers there.
Here is a picture of what was needed for just a 2x3 tent, after a cable clean up.

These were mounted to a cabinet with the little clone tent, but controlled a 2x3 tent next to the cabinet. So just saying you my want to consider room for controls and power supplies.

Ty everybody for the info. I will keep looking around

Found this light that I believe is what you were talking about that I may get

Gorilla Tents sell height extensions. I have Gorilla tents. They are a good brand. A little expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for.

Ive noticed those and the ac infinity tents appear to have sturdier frames. If i stick with tents when these ones wear out completely, i plan on going with one of those. Kind of crazy how flimsy some of these tent frames considering the sometimes 1000$ fixtures theyll have hanging from them.
