I have heard cooler temps help bring out color as well. Also kinda remember reading that the number of hours of light can affect color.
Nice job @OGIncognito ![]()

Thanks AfgVet
When it comes to butter, I recommend looking at @blackthumbbetty 's kitchen journal here
I don’t know what specifically she goes over, but I know she makes a concentrate, and then uses the concentrate in the butter so you know exactly how much is going into it. She left the forum some time ago though, so hopefully all the info is there for you.
Edit: actually looks like they are back ![]()
Right on, appreciate that ![]()
Made an edit to above post I wanted to make sure you saw, looks like blackthumb is back. Not sure to what degree though
Thanks for sharing! Any questions about budder or qwet extracts, I’ll try to answer the best as I can. If I don’t know, I’ll tag in someone who does.
And, me, neither!
Good morning Blackthumbbetty. I was looking for a butter recipe, I harvested a skittlez last night and have some trimmings and a few larf buds, will those work for making butter? Thanks for checking in ![]()
Probably would have another ounce or so if I hadn’t of snapped the top during LST ![]()
I had to take the herb drying in one of my closets in the house, temp and humidity was great in there but the house started smelling like Danky cotton candy. Set the 2 x 2 x 4 veg tent up and drawing in ac from the garage with a 4” exhaust, small circulating fan and dehumidifier. ![]()
I make canna coconut oil. I decarb 7 to 10 gs at 250° for 30 mins. Then simmer the decarbed material in a cup or lil more of coconut oil for 90 mins. Strain the plant material out of the oil and BAM! CANNA OIL.
I like it Axemanjake, simple! Much appreciated ![]()
I put the Coconut oil and decarb in my crock pot at 175 for 6 or 7 hours works great
I like it, thanks DirtyDave ![]()
Yeah it is!!! Nice job. I’m a sucker for the purple buds
Uh-Oh. NL having a bad day. Just looking around. Hope you do not mind if I comment here and there. ![]()
Not at all! Any and all help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated, yes she is struggling, I started the NL and a Sour D in calmag buffered coco with earth worm castings, PH 6.0. I introduced them to Jacks at day 16 and it seemed a little much for them. PH 5.9 and ec .8, I rarely heck ppm relying on the EC value. Would you or @AfgVet suggest any differently? I took them out of the auto pot with Jacks for 3 days and top fed silica at 5.9 EC .8. I reintroduced them back to the pots but made a new mix in my reservoir at ec 1.0 and PH 6.0. I just put them back after I removed them for a 3rd time. I starting to think it’s the coco. The NL also suffered a little snap on the main but mended and the wound is closed. I’m probably way to far down the road for a transplant so I’m thinking of a straight flush and follow up with FF Boomerang or if you know of a supplemental nute to aid in recovery?
I have to say I do not know Jack’s, but since many seem to use it; I will do as I have for 20 years and buy some to see what ir does.
Yes! Coco cna be hard to deak with. The biggest reason it bacmae popular was that many organic and earth growers felt like they could no longeruse peat moss, thus raping the planet.
Coco causes PH issues, but if you can figure out the curve, you can achieve great results. I would rather do hydro with expanded clay and eprhaps some other inert productmixed in. You can do anything and be successful if you have the patience to figure ir out.
