Oil Heater Recommendation - That turns back on after power outage

Hello

Anyone have a recommendation for an oil filled heater, 1500 watts.

I want one that will auto turn back on after a power outage or can be shut off and on by the controller.

I’m not sure the digital ones auto turn back on???

Walmart and Lowes both have oil filled heaters with mechanical switches. No digital controls. They can be set with their own thermostats or controlled by an Inkbird temp controller. They typically are the less expensive units. Just look for mechanical switches.

Top to bottom it has an indicator light,
Temperature setting dial…
And a heat selector which has a 0 1 2 3 in which 0 is off.

@HotAndHumid I don’t know the wattage… But it works awesome in my 4x4s… I own 3.

I use either an inkbird heat controller or AC Infinity 69pro with an uis control outlet AC-ADA3.

Im interested in this too. I have a digital one and you have to manually turn it back on if the power goes out. I havent found a digital one that will.

Thanks for the reply and link.

I was intending to put my heater in my lung room. My tent is a 2x4 and will only have one plant.

Should I get a small one such as this and place it inside my tent instead of a bigger one in the lung room?

My little g room is a fully insulated shed in the deep south US.

@HotAndHumid how big is the room… Tall ceiling?

Whats the lowest temp it’ll get down to when lights are off?

In my tents, I’ve found the heaters work more at night than during lights on as the lights provide heat as well.

@Growmoredank

The lung room/shed is 10x12. Fully insulated.

I’m in South Carolina on the ocean. Our normal winter temps are in the 50s in the coldest periods and can drop to 30 but not often. Some winters we don’t even get a frost. Some winters are worse.

The shed ceiling is about 8!feet in the center

10x12x8 approx… 960sq ft.

Oops… Sorry…

However, if you put in the middle of plants… It may work.

I’ll probably get the larger heater and put outside my tent.

If it struggles in the coldest times, I may add the smaller one inside the tent. But I’m doubting it’s necessary. Time will tell.

I’ll keep the link you sent in case I need it

Thanks

@HotAndHumid You’re right… I also have a 2x4 and space is a commodity… Must be used wisely.

I like the new humidifiers with hoses… Other than the drips. Saves that extra space by putting it outside the tent.

Good luck! Sorry I couldn’t be better help.

@Growmoredank @HotAndHumid , 960 is the cubic feet. 10x12 is 120 sq. ft. The other heater does have the capacity according to the spec sheet.

@Fishyswaw Good catch… My bad. I am usually right on with math.

I don’t care for math but I deal with it everyday.

Heaters in the tent can completely dry it out. Drop humidity to the teens. I prefer lung room myself for heating.
