Tent heater for AC Infinity Controller 69

Does anyone know of a heater suitable for a 3X3 tent that has a UIS interface that will work with the AC Infinity controller 69? Just getting started and not real familiar with what is out there. The oil heater I bought is not responding to the thermostat and making the tent way too hot. Thank you

I dont think there is a heater that works with the ac infinity controllers unless its specifically made by ac infinity. I personally just use a small amazon brand heater and a inkbird controller ill link both in here for ya. Welcome to the community this is great place to learn and share your knowledge with others without any sort of hate on lack of knowledge. Here we just like to see each other succeed and grow better learning from our own mistakes and others here who have shared theirs to help others. That heater works great for my 5x5 but not so well for the 4x8 as its just a little guy but i imagine it will work perfectly in a 3x3

Hi BigCat420, just wanted to jump in here and thank you for your quick reply. I got it last evening on my cell and had the little heater ordered by 9:00pm eastern. I am a little leery of that type of heater as a fire hazard, but will use it until I can find an oil filled one that meets my needs. I am 80 yrs old and grew back in the 60s during the “wild west” when you could get 20 yrs in some states for doing it. We took a little top soil mixed in some sand in a 5 gal bucket, and put it in a 12x12 room with five 500W metal halide lamps in the ceiling. Technology has turned it into a science during the last 50 years. It is legal in my state and I enjoy the diversion. Thank you again

No problem glad to help!

I just got a small 500w heater off amazon for $16 on sale and use my vivosun heat controller (usually for a heating mat). The vivosun is rated up to 750w so no issues there. The electric fan controlled heater kind of worries me as well due to fire risk but I have had it going for alittle over a month with no issues.

I made sure to keep it far away from any combustibles and it only runs for a minute or so to heat the tent not even hitting it’s full heat potential. Eventually Ill get a 500w mini oil heater but they are 5-6 times the cost. Hopefully next year ill have one.

Maybe try an inkbird or vivosun controller with your oil heater, those controllers cut power like a switch and keep the temp +/-2°F

I too am now using a $20 ceramic heater off of Amazon with an Inkbird. That was an emergency measure and it still scares the hell out of me. I bought an oil heater that is digital and it will not work the way I want with with my Infinity socket or the Inkbird. It turns on at it’s max rating of 1500w even though it was at 600w when it turned off. I have a new oil heater with manual controls due in a few days. Mean while the $20 heater does a heck of a job.

Yeah, those cheap heaters from amazon are amazing. Like I said, it doesnt run for more than a minute in my 2x4 (tent is in a 60° basement) and keep a consistent temp without messing with the humidity too much. Im very happy with it but it still make me nervous. I put the heater on a small piece of sheet metal just so it wasn’t sitting directly on the tent floor. I think next year Ill just wait until closer to summer to plant and my basement temps/humidity will be perfect with no need for supplemental heating.

If you ordered a manual controlled oil heater that should work perfectly with the inkbird. I could see a digital one acting funny and just turning back onto the highest setting once power is restored and over heating. Those will hold he alot longer than the little electric heaters.
