Nutrient Setup for Soil, Coco, Hydro

Hey everyone. I’ve seen a few older posts on this, but was curious as to what everyone is using as their go to nutrient setup for their specific growing medium. Post some pics. Figured it would be a fun post, and people could actually see what everyone is using.

I’m just starting out, but this is what I’ve got so far.

I use Jack’s Hydroponics…aka the Jack’s 321 formula. I use it because it’s the same mixture from seed to harvest. You can also single out the individual NPK ratios instead of being at the mercy of a premixed bottle. I started with General Hydroponics Flora series and was in soil. I’m running soil and coco plants and use the Jack’s for both, only difference is the ph between the soil/coco

Cool. Thanks for the info. This is my first solo grow. Using Ocean forest soil. Found a lot of people on the forum telling me to keep my ppm down in veg. Way more than FF suggests with their nutes. Makes sense. @Myfriendis410 pointed out that these companies aren’t exactly in it for the ‘conservation of nutes.’ Thanks again. It’s nice to see what people are using.

@fano_man Nice! What was the cost for that set if you don’t mind me asking?

I got a deal from hydro store I spent 500 those are 1 gallon jugs and a 2.5 gal cal mag

Nice. That’ll probably get you through a bunch of plants.

I’m doing 196 plant perpetual in 2 foot x 4 inch pvc clones with 7 to 10 day veg period so I might get away with some of some more then other bottles probably run through the bloom the micro and honey come and green goddess and king kola but hope fully it’s as good as they boast they won best nutes 4 years in a row

by the time this wraps up I’ll be several weeks into the start I’d the perpetual… I want 24 plants going in every week and 24 plants coming out every week

That looks and sounds like an assembly line of awesomeness. I’ve definitely heard about Emerald Harvest in my nutrient searches. I’m gonna finish this soil grow, then possibly move to coco and some different nutrients. FF has been a decent beginner setup. I actually like the Ocean Forest soil quite a bit. Nice setup as well, I’m following along with your grow.

I use a 50 50 mix of ocean forest and strawberry fields both are fox farm soils one is more a flower dirt with oyster shell and guano opposed to OF gas more castings and such for veg itsa good all around mix my girls are loving it… plus I’m going organic this run so it’s a great base and. Has a micro colony to begin with… this emerald harvest root wizard is like a soil feed it feeds your microbes and helps with organic break down and uptake

I’d love to have that large of an operation. Gotta be a lot of work. If I can nail things down after a couple years, I may go through the application process to become a caregiver. While the quality is great, the dispensary prices around here are getting out of hand.

Tell me about it …I g
Cam get better then dispensary bud it’s just u still gotta deal with dealer and all the illegal aspects I’m in florida and I don’t have a medical card it’s not legal to posses escpesiallyy not grow it but :fu:but I salute the pigs

I have only been growing a little over 1 year I started June last year for the hate of weed prices and the love of if weed so u can do alot in a little time with bare minimum but u definitely get what u pay for an old ut six to buy the wrong things or be mislead and harming to repurchase really sux

Honestly I have not much to deal with yet I see the room twice a week and have plenty of time to keep working on other stuff that rooms pretty set up now I’m building the 9x9.5 veg space I think 6 strains in 20 gallon containers will give me plenty of time and room to not have to worry about moms

It definitely sounds like a good setup. Having all your nutrients from the same company also probably makes it easier when mixing. Nice to get things on track like an assembly line. Makes it more efficient. I’ll be changing some things after this grow. I have 8’x32’ to work with in a partitioned area of my 48x32 pole barn. Will probably end up just building a room in the back when finances permit. Getting sick of dealing with height limitations in my tent, as well as having to crawl around. Even at 80" it still seems to low, and I’m getting too damn old to be crawling around on the ground. Lol.

Never grew in a tent I made a fake wall cavity to grow in I’ve grown in square and rectangle closets rectangle are more demanding due to lighting par foot print is usually square especially with hids, which intern calls for multiple fixtures in a relatively small space…wwhich intune adds for alot more heat with more fixtures I feel 3 fixtures of hid in a 13 sq foot wall cavity produced alot more heat then say a single 1000 then again I’m not sure them 1000s are super hot without cooling hoods…but I heard 1000 watts is 1000 watts of btus weather its directed in photons or heat loss i know hids have alot more heat loss which lowers efficiency greatly diodes of leds are tight angled directed strut at the plant little upward light or heat loss the transfer of energy is way more efficient watt for wart

I had 725 watts of hids in 3 fixtures when I first flowered in 13 sq feet 2x 6.5 ft a single 600 probably would did better then a 400 hps 175 mh and 150 hps

Still, that’s pretty good light output for the space.

Yeah it was kinda over kill but hey what did I know woulda been 2 foot wide but I put an 8500 btu stand alone unit in there to account for the heat of the lights and south Florida in summer which is when it was there
