Nutrient Setup for Soil, Coco, Hydro

It worked I mean it would be 97 out side the shed ambiantly outside and I could get it down to 65 in my wall cavity if I closed it up in cover mode… I had dry wall up and allthis was the space before with the bottom panel not in so i could work on plants

I’ll take the ‘too much light’ problem any time. Gotta be tough in the summer down south. Temps are pretty reasonable all summer here in the north. Humidity is always 40%-60% so adjustments are easy.

But everything closed up to them prices of wood all dry wall and put a shelf on the front of it so I could hang some stuff to block the glow a little but no matter what I did …foam, caulk paint rags u name it would for ever be a little glow but I did get under controll to where u didn’t see it under the door leading into the storage closet j built it in …I built the whole wall witha single pallet I disassembled and 2 pieces of dry wall talk about budget growing got almost all my lights from friends and such and on a budget I figured out the wrong way to grow and water and deal with issues but none the less I figured out what my problems were and what I had to do to fix them and I lived and learned

Thanks for the tag @imSICKkid I’ll just say I’m growing in a 50/50 mixture of FF OF and FF Coco Loco, which is a fairly hot soil mixture. Generally I veg for 6-8 weeks. I don’t worry about ppm’s during veg, based on my experience using this mixture. It doesn’t need nutrients during Veg. But I do use Tribus and Botanicare Cal-mag plus from about the second week of breaking soil. Once I flip to flower I’ll take ppm runoff reading to see if soil amendments have been used up. Once ppm’s drops below 1000 I will start Jack’s and use it full strength with every watering. I’m on my third soil grow using Jack’s and have had excellent results. Once I start adding Jack’s I don’t worry about ppm’s. I have yet to have a issue while using Jack’s, no deficiencies or problems involving leaf or bud development. So depending on what type of soil you are using will determine when to start Jack’s. If your girls are healthy during Veg, just check your ppm’s after flipping and once you start Jack’s you should be able to go full strength with every watering.

Do you flush at all?

Nope, not with Jacks. I was using FF nutrients before Jack’s I’m not going to down them, a lot of people use them successfully. But I have also seen a lot of people having deficiencies with them. Plus as you mentioned most of the time you will need to flush with FF nutrients. With FF OF you should be good for at least 6 weeks, unless you are seeing a problem. If you do start using Jack’s, I don’t believe you will regret it. I won’t say that it’s the best nutrients available but they are extremely easy to use. It bares repeating, once ppm’s in soil runoff goes below 1000 I start Jack’s full strength every watering. Same mixture every time start to finish. I tagged you on my journal, if you have questions don’t hesitate to ask.
