Northern Lights #5 BX Grow Off

Dropped 5 seeds into water with a drop of peroxide, hoping for 2 females. They will likely be run next to a Blueberry fem plant on 12/12 till she’s been harvested, she’s at around 5-6 weeks into flower. Running 2 HLG 350Rs in a 5x3 tent with an AC Infinity Cloud line t6 and, at least, 2 ACI post mounted 6" oscillating fans, with an additional clip fan cooling the lights. I run the regular Jack’s at 4/2 with additional epsom as needed in a 20 gallon plastic trash bin reservoir feeding through an automated HydroLock 6 plant system.

Dropped 6 seeds into water and peroxide today that are sitting on the heat mat. Haven’t officially decided yet if I will be running this grow in the 27x27 or the 2x4. Depending on which tent I use will depend on which light fixture/set up I will be implementing.

Dropped four seeds into water and a little peroxide for the day yesterday, then went into a paper towel and plastic bag on the heat mat. Im hoping for two females as they will be joining a ethos citradelic sunset and a mendos 2020 snowblower that didnt take off soon enough on my current grow. They will be going in my closet once sprouted, then into a 4x4 tent. Veg will be my cheap leds, then flower theyll be moved under the hlg scorpion diablo. Not sure if the diablo will fit in the 4x4, if not ill have to move them to the 5x5. Have a fresh brick of coco and will be trying advanced nutrients cultivator series for the first time. Most likely going for some type of manifold style in order to fit everything.

Number of Seeds Dropped: 6
Number of Female Plants: Unknown
Number of Days From Sprout: 2
Number of Days From 12/12: NA
Lights on Temp/rh: 78F/98%
Watering/feeding Frequency: Not watering till after moving out of germinator.

Grower Comments:

Remarkable growth rate. Increased lights to 7/10 to hopefully keep them from getting too long. Still going to try and wait for them to get roots near the bottom of the bags before transplanting to final homes. Autopot setup is here and installed in the tent. Didn’t get a photo though.

As the grow is in the starting stages I didn’t have anything to wide angle shoot so here are the bags inside the germinator. I really like these small fabric nursery bags and the AC Infinity germinator kit. I guess those would be my two highlights. I was a bit nervous about getting the germinator but its very heavy duty and fits quite a lot. It’s not even the XL version. I’d say the bags are about the size of a solo cup and the plus side is you can get them tightly together.

Good Sunday, mornin’, y’all…

1/1/25… Dropped 4 beans in wet paper towel
1/2/25… Planted 4 beans in coco expanded with Jack’s at 4/2
1/3/25… 4 sprouted, but 1 has been struggling, and will likely be replaced tonight…

Nothing much going on at this stage. Just waiting on them roots. Should be good to go in 3 gallons by the 20th…

It seems the straggler is a triploid, as well. Keeping an eye on it and really hoping it’s female…

So I dropped 5 seeds on 12/31/24 just before midnight, all had tails within 36 hours. Then planted on 1/2/25. 4 have sprouted, without any issues. Will wait and see if the 5th one sprouts. If not hopefully get at least 2 girls.
In solo cups, with Promix that was dampened with ¼ strength Advanced Nutrients Veg.
78° and 80% humidity . I removed the domes this morning.
And here I am so far. Hurry up and wait.

I put 6 seeds in water for 20 hours on Jan1. On Jan 2 moved to plugs. Today all 6 are above ground. Moving to solo cups of coco later today, pre loaded with 250 ppm of mega crop one part. Temp and humidity around 80 in the germinator.

The one seed that had a bit of film on a leaf, seems to have sorted itself out.

Here is my weekly update. All 10 have sprouted and looking great… i took off the domes as i just didnt like them lol… im keeping them under 24 hrs of light right now. Will transplant them in 3 or 4 weeks. Hoping growth rate continues this fast so at 4 weeks i can take clones to force flower and sex them faster.

Dunked 4 on 1 Jan 24, planted on 2 Jan.
Two sprouted 4 Jan 24, the other two are just sticking their necks out…they outta be up today.
Lights on avg 77° F/ 62% RH
Watering by misting dome.

They popped tails fast then took the normal time to sprout after planting. I saw y’all’s peeping in a day and got antsy but managed to not go poking 'em with a stick (toothpick). No helmet heads or membrane faces this time so far. I’ll keep them domed for a few days then give them a tea of kelp. I’ll start feeding by the end of the week if they’re big enough. Main lights are on 24/7 at a height of 18" on lvl 3.

Well, I’ve dropped and germed and planted all 10 seeds into plugs full of Promix HP. They are inside my
Gorilla Lite 4x4 with a 1 foot extension to increase it to 8 feet tall and from that I have hanging the HLG Tomahawk 720 w\ UVA 30 supplement bar light hanging front and center. I use the ACInfinity pro 69 controller with a 6 inch fan attached to an 8 inch filter blowing outside my window for circulation with 2 oscillating fans and one for passive cooling on top the lights. I’m growing in Promix HP in 5 gallon fabric grow pots. Using Jacks 321 with tap water. Bud Buster Pro will be supplemented along with TPS Silica Gold and Mr. Fulvic
I have 8 that breached the surface and I’m waiting on the other 2. Once then, I will be changing the atmosphere for them. It’s presently deplorable. But they are in baggies.
