Welcome to our second round of community grow off! This graciously group of members have volunteered their spaces for a run of Purple Kush Autoflower.
We’ll be dropping seeds during the week of May 18th and hoping these all play nicely. In the event they don’t, we may have to help some to flower in order to stay relatively close to the other participants. Please make your best attempt to post one update per week on or as close to Sunday as possible to keep consistent flow of the thread.
In your first post please give a general description of your grow room, equipment used, nutrients, grow plan, etc. And include pictures of your room and seeds dropped.
For weekly updates please copy paste the template below and update with relevant info. Then include TWO pictures, one wide angle shot showing your grow and the other to highlight what you believe to be the best feature each week. Will also be running papaya Kush auto and a pure Michigan fem along side the purple kush autos.
All right here we go, put three seeds and paper towel at midnight to start germinating. I set them on top of my stereo for the warmth. Will check them when I get home. I don’t have the plan all the way down yet but probably going to use one 3 gallon pot of ocean Forest and two one gallon pots. Probably going to put two of them in my vegroom on 19-5 and going to put one in the 12-12 flower room. This isn’t set in stone all the way on how I’m going to do it but it will be close to what I said. Here is some pics. Oh and in my flower room I have a 250 watt HPS dead center and a 1200 watt LED on each side of it also a 200 w full spectrum on the back wall for side lighting and about 6 20 watt LEDs going all around for side lighting. I know I know I have a lot of small lights going on but it does get the job done. Here we go!

coco/perlite 50/50 by volume. Coco was hydrated with .8 EC, 5.9 pH Megacrop & .6 EC Calmagic
Bean Bath of H2O/H2O2 started at 12:01 18 May. Both girls will hit the dirt tonight.
Grow Plan: With Kush drought resistance and breeders ‘small but good’ description in mind… Starting straight in 5 gal geopot and top fed until they’re big enough to hit it hard. Lights on 24 hr at first until roots get laid good then back off hours slowly depending on structure development and stage of maturity. Hopefully I’ll get them as big as possible before they start flowering. Well that’s the plan, subject to change without notice .

Description:
I don’t tent, I use a corner of a spare room.
For the summer to reduce heat, I’m only using one of my two lights.
Spider Farmer SF2000Pro Samsung LM301H EVO.
36oz beer pong cups, holes poked in them, used through the entire grow.
I’ve grown a few autos using these cups, works for me.
Roots Organics Original soil.
Grow Dots nutrients, mixed into the soil.
Recharge, used once every 7-10 days.
I’ll water once every 2-4+ days, depending on the plant and the growth cycle its in.
I recently started bottom- side-watering my plants by putting water into a cup without holes and then putting the plant’s cup into the cup with water.
RO water.
I’ll likely leave the plants untrained, due to limited space and their smaller size in the cups.

I dropped three seeds, between 5.14 and 5.15.
As of this morning, they are all above soil, though of course not visible in the group picture.
Greetings Growers! I dropped 3 ILGM Purple Kush at 8AM this morning. They will sit on a warm ledge until tails show. House at 47% relative humidity.When popped I am replanting in Rapid Rooter type plugs embedded in solo cups of coco/perlite, domed and into tent on heating mat.
I am a medical grower not having adequate reserves yet so I need to grow some additional strains alongside. If they all hatch my goal is 2-3 ILGM purple Kush, 1 Dutch Passions Mazaar, 1 Mephisto Medi-Mango, and 1 Humboldt Seeds Durban Poison are all autos I had on hand.
I use a 5x9x9 tent stuffed in an 8x10 lung room with dedicated heat/AC in room yet vents to whole house. I will place 3.9 gal hard sided autopots on the 20” stools allowing me to stand erect in my tent. ACInfinity lights- an EV6 @ 500W and EV10 @ 1000W. Airdomes will be used and turned on after sufficient roots establish. My first full grow trying Lotus Nutrients. Planning to add CO2 after seedling stage. I will try to use only one 12 gal reservoir unless growth rates diverge greatly. Wishing everyone a fun and happy grow!

18-24 hours into pods(tails or not) in propagation tray, in the dark at 60%RH/70F. Will remain here until roots established and to forever pot.

They will all start off sharing a tent with other photo plants currently in veg. My plan is to grow in 3-gal fabric pots and transition at least one of the ILGM autos and at least one of the photos outside to finish.

4 beans in rockwool. 32x32" tent. Passive air till sprout then light upgrade. At that time a single exhaust will be added.
2 beans will be kept for growoff.
Soil just built.
Reused soil,manure/compost,perlite,myco/biochar, epsom,worm castings,worms, @Roadsideorganics.ok veg nutes.
It is cooking while seeds sprout. I SHOULD get all 4 up to pick the best 2.
5 gallon pots. 18/6 lighting. Water only.
The soil is a little hot and will cook itself cool.
This will showcase my caveman basic grow style. Lights used decided on this week. Under a 150w board now.
I will prune diligently first 3 weeks. Gentle and interior for veg promotion. Straight up grow little to no training. 1 cheap assed humidifier till flower. There is enough in the soil to get to flip. Then flower nutes and water to finish.
1 cheap R/H meter.
Basic.

3 popped, off to wool cubes.
Will be indoor 5gal fab bags with lights 18-24hrs weather depending.
MC nutes and a dash of cal/mag
First sign of flower they get kicked outside to finish off

The beans germinated fast, sprouted fast, They are doing everything fast about to rename them Mo, and Par for the crazy plum purple paint from the mopars lol

I give plants their first full watering sometime before their third week since sprouting.
Grow Dots mixed into the soil feed the plants on a timed-release basis.
Grower comments = The smallest plant, in the front-right, is nine days old.
She sprouted with too much of her root exposed, which I’m guessing may have stunted her a bit.
I placed additional soil around her and she’s been fine and developing, but still smaller than the others … for now, hehehe. You never know how they will end up.
I only included one picture, since there isn’t too much going on right now.

Grower comments: My original plan didnt last long. I broke the first seed’s tail off. In response I dropped 4 more seeds😉. They all sprouted except the last one is very slow.
By next week I will decide my new plan which will be growing some outdoors or gifting to another medical grower. Either way I will grow best 3 Purple Kush indoors.
I keep my lights up near the ceiling and turn them up to reach DLI. The stretch you see(some is covered with coco already) was at 12 DLI and the majority of Week 1 was at 16 DLI due to added light distance. I need to understand this better.
On average seeds had tails in 36-48 hours and sprouted above ground in a couple days. Removing helmets with tweezers moved things along.
Plant Therapy is at work already. I typically feel an energy boost and I have a better vibe when the little green girls are alive!

3 sprouted, 2 will go outside in 3 gallon, 1 inside in 1 gallon. We’ll see what #4 does? It has no tail after 7 days. I’ll let it dry out completely and or die. All were started in full strength Jacks.
