Noob to growing and broke one of my plants while LST

Had three AK auto flowers going as my first grow. I started lst on week 3 and accidentally broke one of my girls. My question is should I first get a few grows under my belt before I attempt lst ? I was so Upset that I did that after three weeks

I started off with a little bend in my first run with auto. And on my second i FIMed a purple kush auto. Turned out great. She is curing now. I recently topped my gorilla and bruce auto. Both doing fine. You got a pic of the accident? How far back did it break and is it cut from the plant or hanging on by a thread?

I don’t have a pic of the one I broke. She snapped right in the middle of the main branch. I’m hesitant now to touch my other ones. And one of the others looks kinda like a runt. Both are very short I think for week three

Did you snap it off or did it just bend over? If it’s still attached it’ll recover. If it’s split you can just tape it back together. They’re pretty resilient plants.

Yea I didn’t know that the other night and I figured it was broke so bad I just ripped her out. It was a pretty nasty snap

In the future I wouldn’t worry about bending, breaking branches. They can take it. Look up super cropping. Here’s a fine example of how we torcher our plants. They don’t miss a beat. Lol
I believe this is from @CooterJuice grow😂

Wow that’s amazing. At what height and age do you usually start training?

You can usually start around the 6 or 7th node.

Here’s a good read for you.

Yeah this could have been 1 of those blessing in disguise. At 3 weeks i usually top and start the training. You pulled her though?

The bottom branch on the right was completely ripped out of its socket and on the ground. I stuck it back in place and wrapped it with teflon tape and wired it up for support. The best looking buds on the plant ended up coming from that branch.

This one I broke on purpose “super cropped”

Hi there @SpaceCadet welcome. Relax you’re getting great advise here. With practice you’ll learn the limits. Most of us have crossed those limits with good results. I’ve used duct tape, masking tape and pipe cleaners to hold together broken branches. You might also clone it into second plant. It’s all good.
I’d highly recommend exploring that link from Grow Weed Easy offered by @The_Chef there are many many great tutorials on there re. All sorts of training methods.
Ain’t this fun!
