Well I just cut the whole main cola off of my autoflower right as it was starting to flower. I had used a piece of cloth twine to do LST and noticed it cuting the stalk. tried to undue it and ended up sawing the whole main cola off… major bummer. im going to have to come up with better technique for my LST.
Well it will not be good for yield. I am not an auto guy, but you may get some growth on the rest of the plant and still do ok. Do you have a picture?
I use heavy duty garden wire. Got it at the Dollar store for like $2, 100 feet. Perfect for holding plants down, the stuff I got is thick enough it doesn’t straighten on its own, so you can make little hook on the end to go around the stem, then feed other end thru holes I’ve drilled around my bucket. I cut them about 10" long and leave excess near bucket holes, then easy to readjust the length as they grow.
Also use it to hang my plants from the shower curtain rail when drying them too!
Sucks to snap off the main like that, bummer.
Put it back and tape it up! Assp!
Probably to late at this point but cannibus is easily grafted and while i don’t suggest you do it on purpose, but any time a break happens even if its completely in two pieces, put it back together and bandage it up with whatever you can to hold it together and it will heal back…
i did not know that. I will keep that in mind. Tha k you for the advice
If the broken bits are not brown yet stick it together. It may grow and may not, but want hurt to try.
Or root the broken bit and stick it in a solo cup as a clone, it want get any bigger but if ya get it to root it will finish flowering.
Fun to play with and see what happens
Thats what I just did. tried to tape it back on and just couldnt really get to it to get it to stay. so I snipped it at a 45° angle and buried it in some soil.
ive not got any rooting hormones since ive never done anything with clones. Nothing to lose at this point. so why not try
Im give the plant a few days to see what happens with it. Ive been wanting to try a photoperiod anyways.
From the look of the pictures you still have quite a bit of plant left
Early flower. The rest will take over. Just short a top is all. Soldier on.
That is reassuring! Thanks all, I just imagined it would die. Sounds like Delilah may still be in the game.
The rest of her looks good. When you do break a part add honey or aloe at the site. She will love you
I snap one every grow. She’ll recover, look at it this way…the energy, nutrients and effort will go into building all the other branches and bud sites
What’s up Grow Sis? Whatcha got growing on
Organic honey is a fair root stimulator
Thank you for suggestion. I do have some garden wire now and ill be sure to just use it in hook style like you suggested. this knot did not work out. more I tried to free it the tightwr it got. live and learn I guess. im just happy to know whole plant may not die.
