First time grower here, have two Acapulco Gold Autos in 3 gal bag just starting week 13 from seedling. I let one go without any LST and the other I did LST and recently SCROG’d it. The plant I did no LST is the one that I believe is very close if not ready to harvest, the other is a bit behind this one. I’m really looking for the Sativa high around a 10-20% amber maybe. Pics are of cola and various buds up and down plant. What do you think? Can you tell from these pics? Thanks in advance.
I’m seeing a lot of white on those trichomes still. They look beautiful and are likely ready whenever you want to take em down, but I’d give it another few days to a max of 2 weeks imo.
I appreciate your advice and will wait but it’s so hard! They smell and look so good to me.
It’ll be worth the wait. Still seeing white pistils and they are still open bracts. At least 2 weeks. Welcome to the forum @supertzar63 and keep checking back. Do you have a loupe or magnifier? Beautiful plant by the way.
@supertzar63 welcome to the family my friend happy growing
These are pretty decent pictures already. You can zoom in and see a lot clear still. I think I see some amber but it looks like its all on sugar leaves. A really good indication of when to start looking for amber on the flowers is when all the pistils/hairs are red, and receding back into the plant.
I do have a loupe and magnifier and decent camera lenses. I was thinking I was seeing lots of clears in the buds and maybe some Amber’s on sugar leaves. Last night I thought I was seeing lots of amber but that was in the tent with the LED on. I’m learning…and trying to resist that urge!
I greatly appreciate any and all feedback.
You’re doing great. What medium are you growing in and what lights are you using?
3 gal bag using FFOF and light is Mars FC-1500 in 2.3 x 2 3 tent still got a lot to learn but enjoying every minute
I see 2 pictures that I’d feel pretty comfortable harvesting if I needed to. The others I would say are maybe not quite there or at least I didn’t see anything to warrant telling you they are ready.
This could be just a difference in lighting or camera angle, or maybe just different parts of plant being more or less developed. No need to be alarmed but you should definitely be planning some harvest time in the near future.
