New Growth from Topping

Hi Everyone,

I have an outdoor plant that I had topped before seeing the new growth come in (before the two bud sites were showing). It took a little longer to recover than usual, but it seems to be growing normally now with the two main stalks showing through. The weird thing is, the original main branch is sprouting some new growth as well. I am wondering if it is best to just let it be or if I should trim this new growth to try and emphasize the two new main branches. Pic attached of what i am describing (but probably poorly). If anyone has any questions, let me know and I will provide as much info as possible. Thanks!!!

If you’re going for clean mainlining I would pinch that off . I think you may have cut a smidge too close to the node . You could leave it . That’s why I FIM rather than top completely . I always have a ring of colas plus the slightly lower centre growth . I always ruthlessly remove any growth on the bottom one third of the main stem just before flipping , sometimes after . I talk a lot hey , blame my last grow lol.

Sounds good. I think im going to try to LST the new main stems to allow for the center one to catch up. If it seems stunted and not progressing enough ill just remove it all together later on. Thanks for the response!!
