Hello, I am working on my first mainline. I am at a point where I am not sure if I should still be stripping branches off or just letting her grow now. She is at a point where I need to decide quick on the next step. I just flipped her to flower I have been keeping her clean. But am unsure of where to stop and just let her grow. She is starting to grow off shoot branches that I think may need removed?
This was her last week
And now

Here are pictures of the side branching I am talking about. I am not sure if I let these grow to build upwards. They look like they will just become more branches
Thanks

Thanks, I have the light at 60w to get some stretch from her. I am hoping to learn a lot in the next few weeks as I have another pair I am wanting to do this to.

If you haven’t seen it yet, definitely check out this video. It’s not on mainlining, but you’re past the point of setting your manifold now anyway, and this video is an awesome demonstration of how to prune them and get them ready for the flip.
Nice job by the way. I mainlined a few plants last year. It went very well, but I ended up stripping a few too many fan leaves and hurt my yields a bit. A few of them were monsters though, especially the MK Ultra from ILGM. If I ever do it again, I’ll definitely spread them out a bit wider. It was very new to me, and I couldn’t really picture it properly until it was too late. I’m currently only growing autos, so no more mainlining for me right now!

Thanks @Cap_Ron, I will check the whole video out tonight after I feed. it is fricken hot here. 92 inside
So looking at your pictures. You let the side shoots grow till the stretch was over and then trimmed? That is where I am not sure about. If I should wait and let her grow now. I don’t want to be cutting off what may actually be needed for buds

I lolli popped them a week and a half before I flipped them to 12/12. Then I let everything grow through the stretch like you said. Then about week 4 of flower I followed the advice of a knucklehead on YouTube and took off way too many fan leaves. If only I had seen that video by Kyle Cushman 2 days sooner, lol. That video changed everything for me. Once I clearly understood the reason he was removing the growth shoots all the way up the plant to the top of each node, I tried it for myself on some GDP’s and Godzilla Glues, and I’ll never look back. It’s a really great technique.
