New grower looking for advice on outside grow of runtz auto flower

I am growing 3 runts auto flower plants and 1 gold leaf photoperiod plant All of which are in week five just starting week 5. The runtz plants are all showing white Pistols Coming out of the nodes Which are turning into small buds I count around 20 or so in the Healthiest plant. I bought the seeds from ILGM And also bought nutrients. I started the plants in a solo cup indoors for the seedling stage then transplanted into 5 gallon buckets and moved outdoors using fox farm ocean Forest potting soil for both solo cup and 5 gallon buckets. My question is I bought Bergman‘s plant food stage 1,2,3 I did not use Stage one seedling booster as I was reading that using Foxfarm ocean Forest soil would be strong enough for the seedlings. It seem to work out just fine. My question is now that my plants are starting to flower or a pre-flower there is two packages of stage three plant food. There’s a bigger bag flower time fertilizer which reads N 16 and P 6 and K 30 and The other stage three Bergman‘s plant food is called plant booster and that has N 0 and P27 and K 27 in it which stage 3 nutes should I use at this stage? Are My plants in pre Flower? Or in flowering stage as I can count 20 small buds? Couple days ago, there was no buds just white pistols coming out of the nodes. I will try to attach some photos. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I had to remove some leaves due to Leaf miners!! Any information on leaf miners would be appreciated. Also, I haven’t really seen any more snail trails since I removed some infected leaves a couple days ago. Thank you anyone willing to help?

They are looking great. I’m not familiar with the ILGM nutrients so before taking my advice below wait to see if someone with some experience with the ILGM food comes by with better advice. If not this is what I recommend

I would probably go with the label on stage 2 for the photoperiod plants and stage 3 for the autoflowers. You can always go with half what the label says to be on the safe side. Then if it says to feed every three weeks you could do it in two weeks instead because you only fed half of the amount, I hope that makes sense

The Photoperiod can switch to the next stage once you start seeing pubic hairs (pistils/ flowers)

Also pay attention to ph, unless the food says it’s not necessary to

Yeah I agree with the ILGM nutrients, iam not sure how much of each package iam supposed to be using, just wish it was as easy as the Fox Farms instructions, like 1/2 oz for 1 gallon, or the 5 gallon bucket is mass easy,i got the little 1 to 5 oz marked medical cup, just fill to the top of the last line 5 times, BAM…DONE… I just do not want to go in and have to sit down and convert the metrics to ounces and teaspoons and then wonder if I got it right so I’ve got bergman’s nutrients and they’re still sitting there un used…

Here you go for Bergmans in soil, and they work well used them last winter for indoor grow

Watch out for the PoPo in Marion. They don’t play round here.

Yes

That stops them from spreading. Dispose of leaves far away from your plants. Plenty of options for prevention. Spinosad, BT, Safer, etc kills them.

So why did everything I read say that I had to trick that plant into flowering? I was worried because I was doing an outside grow I couldn’t control the light? And just leaving it outside for eight weeks, it started flowering on its own? Ever since it Was transplanted to 5 gallon buckets and moved outside. It’s had the same amount of light and darkness. Sunrises around 7 AM and sets at 8 PM That’s 13 hours of sunlight My plants get direct sunlight from 9 AM to 5 PM That’s eight hours of direct sunlight +5 hours of indirect sunlight. So is it that my plant has been receiving 13 hours of sunlight and 11 hours of darkness that is close to 12 and 12? That’s what I kept reading and was my understanding that in order to make that plant flower would have to change the schedule to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness? From my understanding that would make the plant start to flower?

That’s indoors. People manually reduce the light hours to induce flowering. They go from 18/6 or whatever to 12/12 so the plant thinks fall is coming.

Yup. That’s why outdoor growers start photos inside and transplant outside as soon as the temp are warmer and light hours go above 13. Longer veg time outside.

June 20, 2024 was the summer solstice (longest day). To your perception that seems true, but to a plant, it can sense the seconds lost each day.

The sun comes up before 9 AM. Direct or not, light photons are light photons. That’s why they call them photo fem seeds. They grow and flower by the light. Autos grow on a set genetic schedule and will grow and flower under any number of light hours.

As the sun moves further away in its orbital path, the light hours diminish, and the wavelength changes from more blue spectrum to a red spectrum. That’s 2x ques to the plants that winter is coming, so flower to reproduce before it dies.

I’m still wondering how you thought that you were gonna change the sun’s schedule outside to induce flowering. This plant has been around for thousands of years, growing and flowering without intervention. Your research has been about growing indoors.

Thank you @Budbrother!! That answers my question? I finally received the answer to my question!! Woohoo!! I asked if a few minutes difference in the time of sun from June 24 th until aug 20 th would make my photoperiod plant start to flower?? It took a little dancing around the question although @Budbrother you nailed it for me… thank you I hope I can reach out to you in the future? Thanks again!! Happy growing

Wow

You asked a lot, but you never asked that directly on either topic you posted. I answered your direct questions. Now that I have, you are able to compose this one.

Oh really!! Why don’t you try reading the whole thread again ? Don’t get all upset because you’re ignorant!!! I did ask if my photos were going into flower because of the 15 min a month change in daylight… I asked if the little bit of change in daylight is enough to make them flower? Thank you anyway for your answer. I’m going to pack a bowl right now maybe you should do the same and relax!! Big Time I’m only on here trying to learn more from people that may or may not know what they are talking about although it’s pretty easy to tell the two apart… again thank you for your answer.

Ummm Ok then. I wasn’t rude to you, but it sounds like you really need that bowl.
