New Grower. Is 7 wks to young to change

Good evening my Grow friends. I am a new Grower. I have 2 plants, 7 weeks old, doing well. NOT auto flower, my mistake. Is 7 weeks to young to change the lighting from 18/6, to another setting to put them in to flowering stage.? Leafs mostly have 9 pedals on them. 32 inches tall as of tonight. Thank you in advance for the tips…

Not at all… Some flop even earlier.

I usually veg for 8 weeks. But lately 6.

You’ll have to remember they will double or triple in height during the first three weeks of flower.

That’s why I’ve been doing 6 week veg.i had run out of room many times.

There’s no mistake growing photos instead of autos. They are easier to deal with and yeild more and usually have better buds and higher thc. They are more forgiving when things go wrong.

Good morning. So, what would you recommend to change the lighting to? They are on 18/6 right now…

They are ready to flower. It’s going to get pretty big. Hope you have plenty of light. I’d change to 12/12 light today.

I like autos for the deck so they don’t get too big waiting on daylight to change.

I only have a2k LED grow light. Full spectrum .Is that going to be enough…?

2k? 2000 watts?

Can flip anytime now. They will stretch and fill out and be just fine. Time to flip to flower nutes after some stretch unless you are top dressing. If doing that ammend them and flip. Silica if not training and calcium supplement helps if not organic. Then just roll on. Come back when fully in flower for pruning or not look. Just my thoughts. Light wide open. Plant kept in its footprint. Will not be best at 200w but just getting start to finish when new is great. Next grow you will have a great light. You wont be able to help yourself after successful grow. If can get 1 now…do so. Not in flower yet so will make a HUGE difference.

I assume that’s only 200w. 40 to 50 watts per square foot is ideal. 200w is probably a little small to get big dense buds.

Welcome aboard! Flip that baby to 12/12 like yesterday! At 2+ feet tall, she can easily go 4-5 feet after changing the light schedule and transitioning to flower. What light specifically do you have?? Is the details mentioned so far are in line with other comments, then you want to double your wattage. 200w is good for 1 plant in a small space, but your gal is (going to be) a little bigger than that.

Looks great! Good luck and happy growing!!!
