New grower and grow journal

I grew in straight FFOF last grow and my plants never missed a beat. That Roots Organic has alot of perlite so your good there. I’m grow in Roots organic right now and they are my 2 best plants so far. Good luck and happy growing! :metal:

Oh, and for my 5gal pots, I watered them SLOWLY with 2 gals for each pot. Not for seedlings though. I would water with like a half gallon or so around the edges of the pot for a little bit. As far as knowing when to water. I always let the soil start to pull away from the edges of the pot, which was usually around once every 4 days.

@imSICKkid @Jbum ok so I planted straight into my 5 gal pot for first seed

it looks like I got 2 out of remaining 3 but last one looks like it may go. I will log and plant and mark when they went in to better know when they are done. Thank you everyone. These are the last of my seeds and I had 16 failures up to this point. Thank you to everyone for helping a newbie

Awsome and the grow begins

Be sure the paper towel is just moist not puddles of water or you will drown the lil gals.

Awesome man! Just trying to cover all the bases with ya

@Jbum thank you for everything. I’m hoping to get the white sharks mycorrhizae to help with the roots as I plant them for the other ones. About how many days does it take for a seed that’s planted to pop?

Anywhere from 12hrs to 3 or so days.

I use this for transplanting.

1, 2 or 3 days. Depending on how deep you plant the seed. I wouldnt know about Walmart. All my stuff online also.

@Jbum ok so I have placed the other 2 that have germinated into the final 5 gal pots. Is there a soil that I can use that all I have to do is give it the liquid nuets. Trying to make it as simple as possible. I feel like I over paid for everything I needed. Wanted to make sure I had everything but still missed several things. This first grow may not make it and I was only successful in germination of 3 seeds out of 20. Would there be a soil I can use strictly for seedlings? I have white shark mycorrhizae coming and the cal-mag that I’ll need. I mixed fox farm ocean forest 50% and roots organic 25% and black gold 25% . Since I used it all and mixed it together is there a soil that I can order and have ready for when new seeds arrive?

On these 2 that have tails they grew more when I came home from work and so I have planted. Plant 1 still doesn’t have anything yet but I guess it’s a waiting game. Is there something that I can use to accurately make a hole for the seeds to give them a fighting chance. Anyways thank you and on day 4

Living soil I only have to water

This is what I use.

Just take your finger poke a holes just past finger nail deep and very carefully place the seed in tail down. I use tweezers as my hands don’t work like they use to. Lightly cover the seed back with soil. Then sing :microphone: to her every morning. Always works for me!!

Would it be bad if I added white shark mycorrhizae after I have already planted them?? This would make it day 2 in the soil.

It’s been 2 days since you put them in soil and are you seeing them poke there heads up out of the soil yet? Just curious how far down did you plant them and you did put tail down right? You can damage stem or kill it dropping it head first. I know that from personal experience. One of my Ghost seeds kinda turned as I dropped it in the soil and stem came out weird and eventually died.

If you put them in the soil 2 days ago with tails you should be seeing them poking up by now or pretty soon anyway. Good luck!

@TXCanna @Jbum @Cyle1 ok so I woke up today and watered them before work. Just misting them lightly. The first one that I planted it has the seed shell I over the soil just a tiny bit. I couldn’t get a good picture because it was hard to see but it is definitely the seed shell. I planted it way to far but it had a very long tail. I went to second knuckle. The other 2 I planted and made a hole with first knuckle. I haven’t seen anything on the later 2 but I still have it without light and hoping it sprouts up. The other 2 are a day behind the first one but that’s ok. I will be ordering more seeds and trying again. Do you guys recommend a seed starting kit with a dome and a heating mat that I can use for my next attempt so I have better results? Thank you all for all the help and encouragement. I don’t know what I would do if ilgm didn’t have this forum. I’d probably not try again but with everyone being helpful I feel like I have to keep trying and learn to be patient. I will try and get a photo tonight after work

How warm do you have them? Just use a clear cup or cut a bottle or even a glass and keep that spritzed not the soil. Your just looking to make it warm and humid
