New grower, advice welcome!

@OGIncognito yes jacks part a , jacks part b and , epsom salt. Some ppm was added with the baking soda I stirred in to raise the ph. But will not be using baking soda going forward and will have Humboldt ph up and down to adjust the ph in the water after adding the jacks 321 (part a,b, epsom salt) 12 grams , 8 grams and 4 grams respectively. I will have to add more to get higher ppm obviously

I would recommend just feeding the full strength Jacks versus trying to hit a specific PPM level. My water source has a PPM of 120ish and after adding jacks using a 4/2 schedule without Epsom comes out around 820-850 and the plants love it , adding PH down will raise that a few points though :love_you_gesture:

Cool, thanks
Whats the benefit?

Jacks part A has magnesium and sulfur in it that’s provided by the Epsom. I just prefer a simple approach and less is more IMO :love_you_gesture:

Anytime Grow Bro, works for me and recommend any grower out there to stay with what works for them…not one to jump out of a perfectly good airplane :love_you_gesture:

How many oz of water are we talking here. With 4/2. Bc 4/2 in 48 oz of my RO water will get me like 300 ppm maybe 400 ppm and will lower my ph a lot. I will not use epsom. Just 4/2 ratio of part a and part b. So 800-900 ppm sounds about right? I have been using 96 oz of water to drench to drought routine. And it seems to give “liberal run off”. So I’m shorting for a 4/2 ratio of jacks part a and part b and the. Get it to 6.4-6.5ph and 800-900 ppm if that needs to be adjusted let me know. Thanks @OGIncognito i appreciate all the help.

I mix per gallon (128 ounces). You might want to check the calibration on your TDS pen if your numbers are coming out that low. Keep an eye on the plants leaves for signs of a calcium deficiency, that RO water is void of all minerals. The 2 grams of Part B is typically enough. You can always increase the part B if you see calcium deficiency symptoms, what’s your tap water PPMs …just curious :love_you_gesture:

I have another meter. I will compare and see if I notice anything. I will start mixing per gallon 128 oz as well. And what are signs of calcium deficiency? I will find out ppm for my tap water. But will not be using it. My tap water is flint Michigan bad. :joy:

@OGIncognito what do you think about the yellowing and fading on a few of those leaves? What do you think I could do. Feeding should be tomorrow or next. New grow light fc4000 mars hydro . It’s about 16” away currently. 75% light

Looks like it could be a little too intense on the lighting. Do you have a meter or PHOTONE to check the PPFD or DLI at the canopy? I use DLI but the PPFD should be around 750-800 :love_you_gesture:
