First off, I would like to thank each and every one on this forum. I have been lurking in the background reading and learning everything I can from ALL of you! I started all of my seeds with the paper towel method. As soon as I seen a tail they went into 5 gallon fabric pots with ffof on the bottom third and the rest with ffhf. I fed the ff trio and ff calmag beginning week 5. Used distilled water for the first 3 weeks and ro from then on. I used 2 mars hydro ts1000 in a 2.5x5 foot space. I’m harvesting them now at week 11 from seed. Tricomes are mostly milky with just a few amber. Plant 1 is gg 4 auto. Plant 2 is gummibears and plant 3&4 are pineapple auto flower. I think I did pretty good not knowing anything about growing. I would like to hear what anyone has to say before I start my second grow using the same method as the first. Again, I thank All of you for your intense knowledge and dedication on this forum!
Welcome to the group. Congrats on your harvest…lets see a bud!
Are these the pics from harvest day? If so, I don’t think they were quite ready…still a lot of pistils white and pointing straight up. When you checked the trichomes did you check on the bud itself or a sugar leaf. The leaves mature faster than the bud. Congrats on a successful grow! If you haven’t chopped already I’d probably wait another week and then recheck.
Congrats on the successful grow!!
I checked the tricomes with a jewelers loupe on the buds themselves. The sugar leaves had alot of amber, and the buds had a few. I didn’t want couch lock, so I hope I made the right move. After drying and proper curing, I guess I will find out. I second guessed myself multiple times on everything and I let them go about 10 days until I seen a little amber on the buds.
Welcome to the forum, and thank you for sharing the leg leg of your first grow. Your plants are at about the same stage as mine, waiting for the amber trichomes on the buds. It takes a lot of patience to get this far. I’m guessing mine have another week or so. I’ll be looking forward to following along as you finish this grow and start your next.
Very nice looking plants! I didn’t do any training at all. Kinda just let them do whatever they wanted. Next grow, I will do some lst and maybe start nutes sooner? I tend to second guess everything and just go back with my original plan. Happy growing!!!
