This is my first ever grow. Started it Dec 13. My set is….Vivosun 4x4, 2-250 LED, 6” exhaust(inside tent), humidifier, Co2 generator 2-circ fans and grow hub controller . I changed light cycle to 12/12 on Feb 18. Let me know what you think?
Should be ready sometime around the last 2 weeks in April.
Yes, I figure you are about 4 weeks into flower and probably have 5 weeks left.
Once you flip is takes 10 to 14 days for flowering to start and the you figure 9 weeks on average. That’s just “Average”. Could be less, rare, and could be longer, very common.
Few weeks to go, but lookin frosty!!
I have read soo many articles on when to harvest, harvesting when tricombs are certain color, certain coverage, etc. im confused. Its the Northern Light strain. What is a rule of thumb? Ive stopped feeding them and giving straight water when needed.
Much, much too early for that. You have 3 to 5 weeks to go.
It takes a plant 8 to 10 weeks of flowering time before flower is ripe. Harvest to the trichome maturity of your choice.
Great looking plant and colors Grow Bro, agree with the others on the tune left to harvest
Ok so i should continue with my feeding regiment. Im loosing leaves which i guess is normal. I would usually feed every other week. Was hoping to be able to Wash the plant over the last 2 weeks. Dont want run off in tent……but it is what it is. Thank You for all tge gelp and keep it coming.
Side not……when it is time to harvest i plan to dry some using a Freeze dryer. The rest naturally. Anyone have input on that? Im getting the pharmaceutical program for my freeze druer that has a little more control over temp and moisture content.
Seriously your first grow?? Damn that is a pretty girl. Love the purple nails.
You killed it IMO for a first timer.
Looks like to me the plant is eating itself. Probably should keep feeding it.
Get you one of those small microscopes it saves a lot of stress and guesswork on when the girl is ready.
Also pictured mounted on a cheep mic stand for easy reach and stability.
Get the WIFI version so you can get picts right to your smart phone. Just makes life and growing easier.
They’re not even ready to start checking trichomes yet you want nearly all those white hairs to turn brown and recede back into the calyx’s then start checking trichomes you have at least 4 weeks possibly longer
My theory on when to harvest is simple I’m not interested in harvesting leaves or pistils I want trichs. Therefore we cant judge ripeness by any other measure but the trichs. A jewelers loupe or pocket microscope will pay for itself first harvest.
I don’t think drying in a freeze dryer would be Ideal. A longer dry (7-12 days) allows more chlorophyll to decompose. That’s the wet hay smell from drying flower. Less chlorophyll makes better burning tastier kind. The freezing process can also burst the trichrome heads and let out all the magic smoke.
Freezing weed is not gonna hurt trichomes. I dry some of my harvest every year in my freezer and I fresh freeze some for extraction.
