Started with 9 seeds. Bubblegum, critical purple, and pineapple. All autoflower. Germination went as planned. I do not have a big fancy set up. Just grow lights, heat on in the room, and just placed ziplock baggies to help with humidity. I really want to try this without going all tent and blower…. If that’s possible. These pictures are 4 days post sprout. I have a couple of concerning looking plants.
Welcome!
You are in the right place.
Most of them look pretty normal to me but only concern is how much lighting you will have for them.
There will be plenty of people to come behind me here that have far more experience and that will really help you so I will defer to them.
Welcome again.
Welcome to the forum.
Two suggestions:
Fill those cups with soil. Happy roots = happy plants.
Your seedlings are asking for more light. They are stretching.
In general the seedling stage last about 2 weeks.
If your doing that many plants what size grow area do you have? Lighting? And will there be any issues with light leaks come flower time? Other than those main concerns for the future of the grow you should fill those cups with soil on the leggy girls to give them some support otherwise they may fall under their own weight
They are putting down roots. You really need to fill those cups when planting.
alrighty, so I will be filling the cups today and as I’m reading this to my husband he says… lights are coming… So Merry Christmas to me! Lights and tent set up will be commencing soon!
Any idea on the brand and rating for lighting an area? Like most lights will say veg 5x5 flower 4x4 you can almost always account for a 1x1 loss when going into lighting for flower as you need much more when switching growth phases
Growing autos. Light leaks should not be a problem.
Major items have been covered. Stretching and the need for light. Nine plants is a lot and can take up a lot of space. Space means light and lots of good quality light. My first grow was, shall I say, an adventure. Dropped 5 and after four days nothing so dropped 5 more. Guess what. Before I knew it I had nine white widow autos going. The four in the tent under good lights produced nice bud. I had to scramble and get some underpowered cheapo lights on Amazon to cover the other five. I had to spread them out around my space where ever I could fit them in. Put the lights over them and hope for the best. They survived but the bud was not as good as what was grown in the tent under good conditions.
It comes down to what you want and what you are committed to. And of course $$
Good call i didn’t see they were autos. Yes lights need to be priority in this case because the amount of plants are gonna take up a lot of room
@Brandi I grow autos and in my 4x4 tent I run no more than three. It’s gonna be huge when you re pot them. Welcome and happy growing.
Welcome! If hubby got some quality light and a big enough tent, the rest isn’t nearly as expensive. Good exhaust, a few fans to move air, maybe a humidifier/dehumidifier depending. And like @oldmarine said, fill those pots, your medium will compact.
Good luck and happy growing!
using my spare bedroom- not sure what size the tent is yet. But I have plenty of indoor space to spread out.
Welcome to the community! Your girls look good and can’t really give any advice that hasn’t already been given.
Gonna follow along to see how they grow!
That’s just awesome!
Look lower left. You can see where this scrog frame is located. This is my project space for trying different things.
The bathroom suited them
I switched out the lighting to a Vivosun grow light. Is the upward growth of the leaves normal??
They are Praising the sun. Your girls are happy!!!
