*New* Did I lollipop my LST properly?

Sorry, had to re-post due to accidental deletion.

First attempt at lollipoping one of my LST autos and looking for thoughts. Week 3 of flowering and less than 1ft tall. Should i have cut even more of the lower buds? Looking at the top buds on the plant, i just cant imagine them getting so big, that itd be worth cutting off anymore. The last pic shows all the bud sites and small branches cut during the session. Thank you

Also asking about my LST to know if i should do the same with my other 3 of similar shape/size.

PS - Spiney. Thanks, but it was something else showing me that my post had been deleted etc… No matter. This is the new one to post in. Mods should delete the other.

I am a proponent of LST. I’ll take flat and wide over single main stem plants every day of the week. This is of course assuming the space is available.

Looks great growmie! Congrats on your new lollipop skills. As for your other plants. I always lollipop. If it doesnt mak it 1/2 up the plant, i remive it. Can be unsettling cutting bud sights out…its worth it.

Thanks, and loosing blood iz know exscuse for bad grammer!

Another question concerning buds/colas touching… Heres a different plant… At the main cola, there are different buds forming at the stem/nodes so im wondering if those need to be thinned out? Surely not.

Someone said colas shouldnt touch, but i see colas with nothing but buds coming up the stems, growing into each other. So im a bit confused as to what shouldnt touch Vs whats ok.

Let it grow and get big fat and sticky sweet then enjoy the fruits of your labor :wink:

The reason is air flow. If you look, scrog nets keep em seperated. Lst is to spread everything out. Light and air. Air moves around and between the tops. If they are rubbing and touching and scrunched ontop of each other it encourages mildew by restricting airflow.

Exactly what He said :clap::raised_hands:

Well now i know and knowing is half the battle.

But still… So buds can touch, for example, coming out of the same nodes. But colas shouldnt?

I cant imagine cutting some of these larger nugs off just because theyre bumping. Will prolly just hope for the best.

I go to great measure to keep as many as possible. Use ties and skewers to make the branches stay where you want them. Dont look at it like you removing buds. Your actually redirecting energy to your mains. Sometimes less can be more. Be bold, and just always be thinking, airflow and light. You got this, I have faith. Also, dont let the potential for an extra gram or two increase your chances of loosing entire crops to molds and mildews.
