Need some help please. Leaves are looking bad

Ok, thanks gromie. I have done my best with what I have.
I want to get where you are as far as simplistically.
It will take some trial and error

Ok, this is what the cheap pen says here.
My pH is actually not as bad as I thought.
7.2 PH
What’s next?

I’d start phing my feeds to 6.2 and check runoff until it comes down to 6.4- 6.5. Then run it around 6.5 and monitor runoff for changes.

Since this is an amended soil, do I need to be careful on amount of run off?

Yes, minimal, just enough to catch and check.

Ok! PH 6.7
That’s actually really good :+1:
I guess?

Yes, you’re ok. I’d ph next feed at 6.2 and check runoff again. Keep feed ph low until runoff hits 6.4 - 6.5. Once it stabilizes keep feeds at 6.4 - 6.6 . Just don’t make big changes at once as things happen a little slower in soil.

Ok right on thanks dude, I really do appreciate you taking the time to help someone you dont even know. Maybe at harvest I can figure out a way to get you samples! :joy:
So should I keep on with hydroguard and CalMagic?
Maybe some kind of phosurous? Someone recommended bat guanno but that’s already in the tea I make.
I will keep you updated!

You can amend your soil with triple phosphate, even my hardware store has it, that will amend any phosphorus problem.

I remember how many problems I had getting started growing, killed two plants dead as hell, then learned from every grow and started getting comfortable with it and started making female pollen and crossing a couple strains and made feminized seed. Now I just keep a grow going, mostly trying new strains and a few old favorites. Glad to help anyone wanting to learn. This shit is addictive, only thing worse was seeing that first drop of liquor drip from the worm, instantly hooked!

Just wanted to interject real quick. Be careful feeding amended soil. It can be easy to get carried away. Start very small since your amendment is kind of a time release feed. And that’s even more true if your adding tea on top. Most of the time a slightly underfed plant will outperform an overfed one. There are a lot of people better at spotting deficiencies than me around here, but I don’t see anything in your most recent pic to indicate that you need more P.

Good catch! His tea will have P in it as well.

Yeah bro, I’m already spending :moneybag: i don’t have on growing equipment :joy:.
I haven’t touched a drink since 2007.
I hear you
I’m a little perplexed on my pH here.
My slurry test just came back 7
My runn off was 6.5
Now that I look at it it does make sense.
Just stick with the plan at 6.2 pH until slurry test comes back at 6.6
Then find the deficiency.
Feel free to correct me.

Another question grow bro…
@Growdoc

What VPD should I be at early flower you think.
Right now I’m pretty high, just the way the weather is in the summer
Also you think lollipoping the healthy ones is a good idea?

You were right @MidwestGuy
Now that I’ve got the pH down the leaves are looking much better!
Don’t think I have any deficiency.

I’d say right around 1.2 to 1.5 should do it. I don’t pay it much attention, I just keep my temp and humidity where I want it, VPD works out fine for me . Don’t get into the mind frame that everything has to be ultra spot on, it doesn’t. They like a little variation in ph, temp, and so on. Keep their environment in range and they will grow fine.

Ok, that makes sense to me. I know some people like to dial in but I’m not there yet.
Hey another slurry test came back at 7.0ph.
Is there anything else 8 can do to get it lower besides feeding ph’d water?
Thanks :+1:

Oh hey I’m starting a new batch in soil again. How do i start off right from seed with good pH?

Slurry test your new soil to see starting ph. Let me know and we will go from there and see if we need any other than ph’d feeds and water…

You think I should just do a transplant into a 5 gallon aeropot with the current ones?
Would the new soil change the pH at all?
Maybe add something to move the process along. I’m not use to having to wait like this… :joy:

You could transplant them to bigger pots, the new soil might help stabilize the ph in the whole pot, but I can’t guarantee it. Mabey pot up and water/feed at 6.2 for a couple times and check runoff to see where we’re at.
