Need help hanging up the Spider SF2000 light

can’t seem to get anything done (without help) because I don’t understanding the directions or diagrams.

What I can’t see or understand in the directions is that I have those thin cables attached to the small holes on the light, and they come to a point where I’ve attached the rope ratchet end that has the cabiner to the tiny cables, now I need to attach the light to the top of the (cross bars) on the tent frame… In the picture I included I don’t understand which piece of the ratchet rope is actually tied to the cross bar, there’s one end that is just the rope, the other end has a cabiner which piece is attached to the cross bar? I’m thinking as I’m typing out the question it would be the plain rope because i can’t see how I’d get the cabiner on the cross bars… but how is that going to be secure?

Is this going to get any easier? I don’t seem to be able to do any step without having to ask someone how to do it… I’m getting closer to start the seed process; and I’m already worried that i’m not going to have all the steps correct from day 1 of soaking seed to know repotting, veg state lights, flower etc (and I’m using autoflower seeds), air flow, filter, fan, PH of water & humidity… Am I making it more complicated than it really is? (sorry for the last paragraph, its probably more of a vent than a question).

I use a zip tie to hold the carabiner you can also put it over the rod and clip back to the rope making a lope

I replaced mine with bigger ones. Light enough load that they’re super cheap.

Hopefully this helps, just run one end and ratchet rope over cross member and attach either to holes on lights. Or you can loop one end of ratchet rope over cross member and hook to rope, then allow ratchet end to hang down to attach to cable.

No problem, there’s been more than once I’ve had to ask for help. No dumb questions, except for the ones not asked.

Dont get discouraged. Its easy to get overwhelmed. If ya get stuck do what ya did and post the problem here. You will find plenty of help from people who been there and done that.

Any thing worth doing is worth working for Happy 420 everyone

Loop the rope over the bar and have both connected to light like this and you will achieve greater height…

I used smaller hooks first in my light because the rope hooks were to big to fit the holes. You could also use a keychain loop or whatever at light if hole is to small for the rope hook thingy.

I was about to ask same question. Gotta love this forum !

Didn’t read everything here. But my sf2000 has the 2-1 wire hangers in each side then use one carbineer going over the short cross bar. Long bar is for ventilation. Tie excess cord to corner to corner with noose, how I keep it squared when changing hight, power cable pushes against sometimes. Most of these are way more complicated than they need to be.

@molliedoes

The easiest way to get the light higher is to put a ratchet hanger at each corner of the light. You can get to within about 6 inches from the top.
