Hi everyone I’m new to growing and I just started growing white widow auto flowers it was growing fineits 2 weeks old today a few days ago maybe 3-4 I noticed brown or orange spots on my lower leaves just 2 leaves was change color then on the top there was 2 leaves curl slightly so I thought maybe it’s heat stress or maybe my lights was to close I didn’t Measure how close it was at first so I add water to the plant 3 days ago pull my lights up and waited but then today everything looked great til I took a nap for 4 hours woke up and. Notice the top leaves are changing colors and it’s a couple leaves I need help figuring out what’s going on I try to keep my temp at 75f 65 humidity im growing in promix soil with gaia green 444 and 284 I ph water 6.6-6.3 I’m doing. 24/7 light cycle I have been trying to germinate some other seeds but they wouldn’t germinate and the 3 that did 2 sprouted then instantly died then I have this one
Are thos leaves touching your media any? This will make them look rough.
Also noticed your ph is a little higher than is typically recommended for promix. They have a series of videos on YouTube that would probably help some, one suggests ideal ph is more like 5.8-6.2. Your pots look really dry too for what its worth.
I only water close to plant should I water the entire pot at this point I was just worried keeping soil to wet for to long cause of pest I was sure if roots would reach and drink that water
And non of the leaves are touching the soil I was thinking maybe the humidifier is probably misting my plant and maybe the lights burning it not sure but the leaves turning brown /orange that idk could I be deficient on something you think
Yes water entire thing and very slowly so it doesnt run through. Of course let it dry first since last watering. Once entire thing is saturated and getting runoff thats enough. Use dechlorinated water. In a few days yiull see if looking better.
Hello, can u answer my topic too ?
Looks like some splash burn from top watering and the leaves resting on wet medium. Are you planning this grow to be organic?? If so the medium needs to remain damp, best watering practices would be to water away from the plant to promote root growth. Use the lift method to judge the frequency of watering. Lift the pot near dry and feel the weight and water the vessel enough but without run off. Top dressing dry nutrients will take a week or so to become available to the roots. For germinating seedlings, what method are you using
This ^^^^^
I’m putting them directly into soil to germinate
Possibility that leaves touched soil after watering. Dont freak out. They probably turn yellow, then brown, and die… completely ok. Trust me, she will make plenty more… old leaves will fade and wilt.
Honestly if the plants adding new growth and isn’t showing major issues across the whole plant I wouldnt wory too much about it just keep an eye on it they’ll often out grow minor issues on their own plant looks healthy over all
