Today morning TEMP and HUM is 42% and 64 F, I think TEMP is low on daytime, so I turn off my Duct Fan to increase my TEMP in tent and my led light fan still working. After that TEMP and HUM IS 50% AND 70 F, but I think TEMP still low on daytime.
Can you increase the ambient temp of the room in which your tent is located?
Definitely keep your fan on 24/7. You can buy a speed controller for most fans to help regulate temps. Aim for high 70’s.
You’ll want to keep your humudity up, too. Aim for 65-75% during veg. Make sure you have a fan in your tent for a breeze, so the necessary humidity doesn’t cause issues. For flower, that rH will drop significantly.
Just noticed your hygrometer is hanging right near the fan. Try putting it on a raised container (a few inches) on floor of your tent, under the grow light.
Noob here also I ended up putting seedling matts for floor heat I’m in a basement. Also I wanted to keep my roots at the right temp. And to get my tent to warm up idk just an idea or run a small heater towards your intake to bring the temps up. Also my rh is at 50% and mine seem to do fine the rh will go up as more vegetation happens or u could get a ultrasonic humidifier.
They definitely grow at that rH, but they eat & breathe easier when the humidity complements the temp. The op’s humidity actually complements his temp nicely, but the temp is still too low. Once the temp is raised, he’ll need to also raise the rH.
@Killadruid something else you can do to keep the humidity is take water bottles cut them in half and place over the solo cups until they get larger. The seedling mat will definitely help. I am growing in the same conditions as you are I believe. I’m in the Midwest.
A 300 watt aquarium heater immersed in a 5 gallon bucket of water and set to 85F is economical, safe, bumps the temps up 5 degrees or so and adds humidity to the space.
u r not measuring the temp in the correct place in the tent, like betty said…
the thermometer up near the exhaust is not measuring what your plants r experiencing,
move it near the plants, at or slightly closer to the light then the plant’s tops.!
this is the back of my thermometer
it is higher then the plants, but it is about the same distance from the light because it is off to the side.!
yes, 23-24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
again, like betty said, use a speed controller to adjust the air flow.
Definitely get the thermometer at the level of the canopy or just above, not near the floor, like I wrote. When I answered, my mind blanked out the plants & just thought you were trying to get things dialed in before your grow.
I just harvested, so I’ve been smoking entirely too much. So, sorry. Smh.
