Temp and Humidity need help

I am new to this and in my first grow. I have ran into a couple problems early so I wanted to make sure I can create/control the climate in my tent first before I add any plants. I can control the humidity fine with a humidifier and inkbird controller to whatever I set and the controller at and turns back on when needed. The problem is the temp.My outside room is around 65to 75 degrees. The tent temp is around 78 degrees with only one light in right now. After going through these forums for hours I returned most of my equipment and bought 2 hlg 260s for my 4x4. Only one of the lights came so far but I am afraid when another light added the tent will become too hot. I turned on my exhaust fan to maybe take some of the heat away but then completely lost my humidity even with the fan on low I could not achieve higher then 45% RH. Also I am having a negative pressure issue and dont know if its just beacause the tent is empty but it sucks in a significant amount. I opened the bottom hole in the tent and it did release some pressure but still seems like too much even with this fan running on low.

Sorry for the long topic but I was just trying to give as many details as possible. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks!

I have a small inline fan I use to introduce fresh air in a small amount but enough for the plant to be happy. That fan is on a timer and cycles on for 1/2 hour with 1 hour off between. I have a dehumidifier (same problem in reverse) that cycles on, also for 1/2 hour with 1 hour between but staggered after the fan shuts off. Third I have a 6" fan located up high to exhaust waste heat and connected to a remote thermostat ($20 on Amazon) set at canopy height. I can manipulate my environment such that it hovers around my nominal environment without any other help. You just have to MacGyver it: give some thought to what you can do.

As to the tent sucking in; make sure one of the bottom intakes on opposite side is open (I bought a 6" elbow and jammed it in there to keep open. Even then you should see tent walls sucking in quite a bit. That’s a good thing when you have to put a carbon filter on for odor control.

Thanks I will try the thermostat I believe that will help me.I do have the bottom hole open on the opposite side but haven’t thought of the elbow idea, I had an extra clamp I tried but the elbow sounds much more supportive. Is a good for the plants environment to fluctuates say up or down 10 degrees or 10 percent in Rh(to achieve the desired preset on the timers)? because I could see that being my next problem.

Holding all nominal values is pretty tough unless you can control every input. I’ve found that by doing this the plants do well and produce high yields. That said I have some tweaks to do to my grow space but right now limping along until our new house is built.

Thanks again, I am sure It will get better with trial and error there is alot of different tools out there. I think also if I shut off the dumb heater in the basement and just let the room get colder obviously the tent temp should drop in my mind at least. Had to smoke to think of the simplest thing…
