Need a little advice On how and when to separate them properly

What strain: Blue Dream

Vessel: starting in solo cups and transplating to 3 gallon Fabric pots

PH of Water: 6.0

PPM/TDS or EC:NA(will post asap)

Light system: VIPARSPECTRA 450W LED Grow Light,

Temps; Day: 77F-82$ Night: 70F-75F

Humidity, Day:40%-42% Night:38%-40%

Ventilation system; Yes, 4 inches

AC:yes, Humidifier:Yes, De-humidifier: no, Co2: no

Now. It’s not recommended to start plants in the same vessel, or even grow them in the same vessel. Without being too rough, see if you can get one into another solo cup. They can stay in them, with a clear solo cup spritzed with distilled or RO water on top as a humidity dome, for around 2 weeks, then transplant.

Max moisten soil, Using a full hand of fingers, straddle the two plants together, between same pair of fingers. Invert cup over new bed material, lay core down and see if it separates. First, she required external support.

then came separation day.

It can get messy Half the core shown

Have fun, show pictures.

Agree with above. They are close together.

@Shawnb86 yes, they need some stalk strength before vertical upside-downing and soil splitting

I do it a bit like @DEEPDIVERDAVE, but I run a sharp knife down between them rather than try to pull them apart with my fingers. You damage the roots a bit either way, and I prefer if the soil/root ball doesn’t crumble.

Honestly seperate them now if u can. Before the roots get too much and intertwine with each other. Scoop it out and use a spray bottle to wash dirt off roots to see what’s going on and make a puzzle out of the roots and dise t without harming roots. Water will wash dirt off so u can see. Even if leaves get wet is fine just dry them before u put them back under the grow light.

That’s what I’m really worried about especially it being my 1st grow and I should have specified in my original post but this is 2 sprouts from one seed I think I might just have to try and see what happens they are kind of close to each other

When I separate them should I keep them in solo cups

Can but I would just go forever pot. They took. I go both ways…solo till couple nodes or pot about there. Both work. No real set way. Wherever your comfy.

I had a zkittles auto that popped 2 just like so. The smaller one of the 2 had better buds to her but they both had larfy buds. They will fight each other for the food u give them so one might get the n and p and the other maybe just the k ect type of thing. Either way if u leave them both go ur gonna have larfy buds most likely not saying it will happen everytime but good good possibility ur gonna end up with 2 smaller larfy budded plants. While small it’ll be super easy to soak the roots and wash away dirt and untwist them they r not big right now lol. I’ve been thru it was told to sperate or kill one. I left both go in a 10 gallon fabric pot they grew but had some of the largest buds from them both.

I actually separated them and put them in there own solo cups ill add pics later wast too nervous to take them during but the roots were pretty much separated so it wasn’t as bad as i thought

Thanks everyone for your help The separation seemed to be successful20220503_150040|375x500
