I’m 2 days into trim jail. I got about 5 more colas to do and I’m done until winter!

Don’t be this thing was so sticky I got rez in my fingernails and my fingertips are numb. They’ve been 10 hour days. Lots of rock and roll and coffee. I decided to wet trim this girl because there’s just so much. It’s much more stickier but in the long run takes less time then dry trim
I recommend getting the best one you can within your budget. The bigger the better.
I’ll be looking into options like this when my standard home units croak.
Currently running a 50, 70, and 30 pint to manage. I have a feeling I’m wasting a lot of electricity. Regret not buying a bigger one to begin with.
I have the same one as lostgirl but 22 pint. It not only works for the lung room but dehumidifies my whole house and I live in an extremely humid state. It was a little under $200 on Amazon. I use the smart setting because it will dry it out too much. You can set it in increments of 5% down to 35% I think.
So u saying I don’t need a 50 pint?? They a lot more expensive?
That’s totally up to you. The GE 22pint dehumidifies my whole house, about 1700sq ft in Florida which has ridiculously high humidity.
That’s why I went with the 22 pint,it was quite a bit less $$$
Thanks for that information it really helped was told I didn’t need a humidifier I live in Minnesota still did need it until spring started now I need a dehumidifier at a good price range!
It’s well worth the money, the ones like Vivosun ( I think ) are junk. They said right in the specs. That they will only get your RH to 50-60% range which is useless imo. I’ve had my lung room at around 30% which is too dry, it very easily achieves the 45-50% range I like to maintain and cycles like an a/c unit when it reaches the desired RH. Also has a float switch that shuts the unit off so you don’t end up with water everwhere or you can connect a hose and run it to a bucket or floor drain.
You need to know know the RH of your house and lung room. What works for someone else may not apply to you.
A hot and humid local climate may mean a central A/C is running which also pulls down RH.
I live in HOT & Humid climate, and when my A/C is on for the house I can cut off one of my two 50 pint dehumidifiers. In the winter I don’t need one at all.
The way your house is built and insulated makes a difference as well, is yours just like everyone elses?
Monitor your place and adjust as needed, that’s the best your can do.
