Near Harvest Question

Hello,
I am nearing my harvest and I have a question about stripping fan leaves. I use salts and I have a week to go. Curious what everyone’s opinion is about stripping fan leaves before the chop? I have read that you want to do this 5ish days ahead. The girls are looking great. Does everyone like to remove all fan leaves prior to harvest? I have 4 days left of gradually reduced nutrients, and then 3 days of flush with just RO. I know this is controversial, but I feel like I do not need them anymore. Thanks!

Stripping the leaves before harvest just makes trim jail less tedious. It won’t matter either way.

I appreciate the advice! Thank you! Have you ever heard of doing this like 3-4 days ahead of the chop? Bro-science?

Depends on what you expect to attain by stripping leaves right before harvest. It’s not going to change your plants. Neither will giving ro water right before harvest. But it doesn’t matter as long as you time harvest properly because feeding them for the last 3 days isn’t going to change them either.

Thank you again for confirming! My arms are so sticky from trimming. Haha! Had a few hiccups along the way, but I’m happy considering my experience.

Nice work Growmie, Drying conditions determine if I strip leaves and how much. If your drying space has a low RH I would leave as many leaves as possible if the RH is high I’ll defoliate a considerable amount of leaves. You’ll want ideal drying conditions with temps around 65-70 and the RH around 60-65%, a few points either way won’t hurt :love_you_gesture:
