Has anyone used this light? Any comments on it would be appreciated.

I’m late but it’s probably not worth the price that it is. You can do better with full spectrum LEDs - “2000W” really means “actually 200w” power draw in most LED marketing. It pulls 240 watts if you have both switches on.

I’d suggest something like this instead of Amazon/low budget is a strict necessity

Is it amazing? No. But for the price, it will do considerably better than what you linked.

I suggest looking at HLG (horticulture lighting group), Chilled Tech, AC Infinity, then Mars Hydro and/or Spiderfarmer lights instead of the one you linked. :v:

Yeah stir clear of any lights that light up pink or purple lol. Too much heat and not enough good light for the plants

Dude no name budget lights are the best. People spend STUPID money on lights. I own szhlux, farmlite and something without a name on it.

WEED IS SOOOOO EASY TO GROW. PEOPLE MAKE IT COMPLICATED. It grows in the rainforests, it grows in Mexican deserts, it grows in frickin Siberia for crying out loud.

I run Sonofarm LEDs. 4 x 400 in a 4x8 and a 400 and a 200 in my 4x4. They all measure +/- 5 watts of advertised 400 watts. I have NO complaints on quality or quantity in my harvests. My last chop was last weekend and if I were to hit you in the forehead with a nice bud, it would knock you out! They are like rocks!

You can harvest weed with a cfl if u wanted. The real point to a high quality led grow light is the efficiency and quality of the chips. Most importantly (to me) is the warranty. I prefer to have hlg so if i need a driver replacement i will get it in like three days at the most. Good luck with the cheaper lights and warranty replacement. Ya you may get it, but a month later.

I had a driver fail to output on an HLG light a couple of years ago. I spoke to customer service, they asked for the serial number of the bad driver, and HLG shipped a new driver for next-day delivery. It was awesome.

Yes sir you are correct, warranty and efficiency and 2 things you do NOT get with the cheap lights (like the lights I mentioned, szhlux, farmlite…). I have gotten burned on cheap lights breaking. Definitely a gamble, for me personally it’s worth it. (cost/benefit).
I will be sure when doing reviews in the future to mention those 2 things.

Editing my above post… Nobody’s STUPID lol…lights are expensive. Higher end lights come with a higher end warranty, customer service, efficiency, etc. It’s a personal choice we all make.
I believe this thread was originally started regarding the szhlux LED. I like mine alot, it worked out for me buying the cheap light. I think it’s a winner.

A quality light will produce much better quality buds I’m sure those cheepies run very hot and draw a lot of your hard earned money right out of your wallet witch makes it a much more expensive light my scorp Diablo costs about 20-30 a month to operate in power bills what about yours ?
@OnTheCheap then wait till you try a name brand light they will blow your mind :v:t2:

You’re talking about 1,300$ for a grow light correct? I am not THAT committed to growing weed. Sure would love to try one and see the difference though, absolutely.

I’ve also got some 300 L’s that are badass lights and they’re only 250-,300 especially if you go on the refurbished page just my opinion if you were to grow with some top quality lights you would see the difference if cheap lights were all the rage why would they make quality lights when you buy a quality light it will be the only purchase you will need to make unless you want to upgrade if you have not tried any quality lights then how can you make the statement that cheap lights are the bomb? When you’ve nothing to compare it to just another one of my thoughts

Oh I like that idea, refurbished equipment. Thanks for the tip :+1:. I’ll take a look.
Nope no experience using those lights. Plenty of experience smoking the buds produced though. And I don’t feel it’s 10x better, considering the light is nearly 10x as much.
I think you’re misunderstanding the point I’m making here…I’m not saying anything bad about these high end lights, they are incredible.
I’m simply making the point it’s not required. For the average person growing in a tent/closet setup, you can grow excellent smoke with budget lights (budget equipment). That’s all I’m saying.

I’m looking at some HLG lights, like the 100, 200w-300w boards. They’re not much more expensive than your other Amazon lights comparable wattage. I might have to try one these now. Thanks for the “advice”
