Mystery Seed Grow

One of best growers I know says he still struggles with starting seeds. But I think it’s one of those things that seems more difficult the more you need it time be successful. Once the pressure of getting return on your investment is over and you have wide collection of seeds, you pretty much don’t care and will drop more if you need to. Things seem to work out well then lol.

Ok now they have good food they are coming along nicely. Lifting the lights helped with the folding leaves.

Am I supposed to tip them now?

Thanks

Should I tip them now?

We’re you planning on topping? It’s not something I I really do. If you have 5 nodes though you can. One looks there, the other is at least close.

Oh, I thought that is what you are supposed to do. I thought I read it on a guide.

I might go back to the free guide form ILGM. It’s getting quite exicting now.

You can. It’s a method of creating more tops. I just don’t. Up to you, not something you have to do or cannot do.

Ok, I finally got my act together and got a tent. They are now under a 600w MH for there final veg time.

Wow the amount of heat that light produces is staggering! The room is so bright I feel like I looked at the sun.

I can’t figure out the sex yet but I don’t see any “balls” so I guess that is a good sign.

Looking at the girl on the right on that last pic, you think @TimTamSlam may want to construct some risers out of pvc pipe to elevate the pots out of the runoff water?

Good eye @DoomSack . I didnt catch that. I need another fatty and a coffee lol

I was told that you should always keep pots out of standing water. You don’t want them wicking runoff that may be full of salts and other debris.

I try to keep my watering trays clean. it’s a challenge to remember, but I’d shoot for cleaning them (and the risers) every watering or every other.

Sure the sitting water provides some short term humidity in the tent, but I’ve found in my neck of the woods in the current season, it also attracts gnats and other bugs. I don’t want them plopping out their eggs in grow medium.

It sounds silly to type this but, I’ve been using turkey basters to manually suck out all that run off water from the tray after each watering. I’ve been considering getting a small aquarium pump to make the whole process more efficient.

Nah go grab a shitty shop vac @DoomSack. I dont water in my tents or grow room but if i did this is the method i would use an im sure it would work fast. You could literally dump water in and vac it out

Never thought to use a shop vac and I have two.
