Thats exactly what i read somewhere or somone here told me. I think there is a deficiency that will cause leaves to point up like that im pretty sure but there would be other symptoms, and i think your plants would need to be bigger / older for it to be that. From my inexperienced eye they look good. Please if im wrong somone set me straight.
Typically from light intensity
@dbrn32 is that a good thing because mine did that also and i keep my lights closer than he does? I read somewhere that meant they like their enviroment if there arent other symptoms?
I don’t know that you can call it good or bad. It’s better than what happens with not enough light, but you could potentially run into issues with too much light as well.
I think if they’re healthy and you can keep up there’s not necessarily an issue with leaves perked a bit. But if you were struggling it may be good idea to back light off some.
I will keep a close on on it. I am starting to think the light is too close. I vaguley remembering the guy who sold it to me said it needs to be a little higher than other lights.
Yeah I just called the shop and he says the T5 sould be about 30 - 50 cm away or 11inch to 19 inches.
Your lights are different from mine.My light recomend no more than 6 inches. Well thats what it said in instructions. I have them at the closest recomended distance but have cfls all over the place with it.
Hello again
So it has been 12 days and I haven’t seen as much growth as I would have expected. One of them also look a little yellow around the edges of the leaves.
Can I please ask for your opinions?
What are you feeding? Ph? And how often are you watering?
Thanks for coming back to me. I wasn’t feeding, I thought it was too soon.
I just picked up a bottle of Extra-Nutrex Grow. I totally forgt to get the PH meter so I pick one up later today.
Extra Nutrex is a new 1 part nutrient solution. Complete formulea contains unique plant beneficial ingredients which are poven to promote healthy growth and outstanding vigor. Formulated with PK88 to activate amino acids and miximise growth. Silica added for plant protection.
Oh and about 500ml of water every 2 days.
I’m not familiar with that stuff, but if you’re in coco you should probably be feeding something.
Ok yes you are 100% correct, I needed to feed. I thought coco was like soil but it turns out it is not.
Gave tham a really good feed and they look better already.
Note for my journal: Leaves started curling up so you must keep the lights a good 50 - 60 cm above the plants.
Definitely not like soil. You will likely have to feed every day or two.
I can’t hardly find anything about your nutrients. can you post up some pictures of the back label? I have sneaking suspicion that you’ll be short on calcium at minimum. One parts rarely work without supplements, especially in something like coco.
Better than I expected. Do you notice any floaties when you mix nutrients or look into bottle?
No floaties at all.
Nice! Hopefully that stuff works out well for you.
I am so glad I did a practice run before buying my dream seeds. This has been a bit of a wobbly start.
