Help my light fell and smashed my plant It didnt break but folded the main stem over i added more dirt for support and used gardening wire to prop it back up straight Its not shriveled up and seems to still be reaching for the light . Has anybody ever had anything similar happen and were able to salvage the plant ? Did the plant have a crook in the main stem once the plant matured ?
Funny you should ask…While not exactly the same, I did tip a clone over a few weeks back and crushed the plant under 2.5 gallons of soil/root ball from about 12". In my case the plant started to bounce back but ultimately wilted and died.
You should give your plant the best care that you can and hope for the best. If the main stem was not totally broken (as mine was) I suspect that it will survive and produce a nice harvest for you.
Do you have a photo of the damage? If the plant is a few weeks old and didn’t snap, it will probably recover. If it snapped and was above the first couple/few nodes, then it may have been topped. Pics will help a bunch with damage assessment. I haven’t personally had a light fall (yet, thank Jeebus) but have seem many topics of it and most were survivors.
I’m a big believer in redundancy. My lights, fans and such have secondary tethers just in case.
Cannabis is quite resilient. I would give it some time to see what happens.
Just bending stems is a grow technique that works well. Its probably going to be fine.
My thoughts mirror these gentlemen thoughts. Read about supercropping. What has happened is similar if the stalk didn’t break. Put some aloe or honey on the the wound if possible, tape it up, and it should be fine in a week.
I’m a firm believer in this for just this reason.
Each of my xxxl 8 in vented hoods are over 40 lbs.
If the break isn’t too bad it should just end up as a knuckle in the stalk and carry on fine.
I had the same problem, except half of the plant actually broke off & the half that wasn’t damaged kept growing. Dont sweat it! Live & learn
your young!!! You have allot more grows ahead of u

I have fans on the floor. I do not go into my tent with glasses on as they have dropped and killed several fragile week above the ground plants.
You should see my Paracord extra protection. My lights are secured with Carabiners on a system that lets me raise and lower lights safely.
I would never attach fans to my tents. Asking for trouble as you have found out the hard way. Many similar stories can be searched and found real fast. Its happens a lot. Most with fans attached to the tent poles.
I bungie cord (double safety) my height adjusters and double strap my lights.

Vivosun LEDs sre nice but the tether pulleys are junk.
I upgraded to very nice pulleys soon after having one side of the el cheapo fail and the light half fell. Never again
Absolutely concur
Wrap it up with some tape and in a week it will be fine.

```Shes already bounced back
When uploading wait till it says 100%. Then give it a few more seconds I do 15 just for safety. I know seems like forever.
Yes. Dropped a 550r on 2 auto. FLATTENED THEM. Taped together and ran till harvest. Stunted a bit but finished.
