My Humboldt Abode

Well the phosphorous deficiency signs are still getting worse. I would have expected the feed from 2 weeks ago to have kicked in, so wondering if I went way too light on them. Either way even if my yield tanked loving organic and take the blame on that because the plants are in general so much healthier it feels like. Little clip of the under carriage too. Just waiting to hopefully start seeing more stacking to take advantage of that air flow.

Have you considered that there might be a lock on Mg? If nutes are there, then must be imbalance. Since been adding a Mn supplement, you would need to up the K to balance uptake of P Ca & Mg

I tried making sense of it through a Mulder’s Chart, but ended up in a never ending loop. Didn’t consider a need for increased potassium and will definitely give that a try.

I landed on probably underfed P after looking back at the feed recommendations of my top dress though, so my statement about there being adequate levels for them was probably off.

I gave a much heavier feed about a week ago with rootwise bio Phos and the enzyme mix, so I’m hoping it kicks in any day now. That feed included heavy potassium levels too, but still might try a little banana peel in some water that I was reading about for K supplement if I don’t see them stabilize soon.

Was reading up on something else and stumbled onto the fact that I’ve likely been keeping the soil moisture too low for optimal Phosphorous uptake as well. For some reason I had 30% across the board in mind and have been holding everything there or below other than triweekly microbe inoculations alongside my topfeeds.

Bumped bottoms up to 50 and going to watch. I honestly was worried it was too wet, not dry. Man a year ago I’d drown nearly every plant I tried to care for. I used to joke I had a blue thumb rather than green or black. Times, they are a changing.

30% is after the demands die back around wk6. I let the plants decide. I measure what they prey at and adjust from demand. Don’t think I’ve ever had one that took less than 32% at that stage. Where you’re at now, I’m usually around 45’ish

Great info, thanks man! I probably should have let the Autopot run the show for the first one but I love tinkering.

I am sitting around 26 on the tops and 50 in one and 40 in the other on the bottom. I have it set to turn them off at 30 on top and 50 on bottom but the left drinks faster than it soaks.

Still seeing the Phosphorous deficiency, but maybe some stabilization. Hera was begging for water and the leaves that were praying hardest started to dry up on me. I misread the praying as her wanting more light, which didn’t help. Jane is hanging in there even though her main leaves fell like crazy. She has a lot of small node sites I’m hoping will keep her energized through harvest. Hera and Jane both have fairly red stems as well, while Gaia and Indie are still maintaining most of the green there.

Did a last ditch effort top feed with some Pushing P, castings, and bokashi. Also did the WDG and microbe inoculation plus a little cal mag because seemed like I might be seeing some slight Ca deficiency in the falling leaves. Honestly though with them going into week 6 not too worried by the deficiencies I’m seeing and seems like their starting senescence. Pistols are long and pretty beefy. The jelly Donutz is crazy frosty too. Once calyxes start popping I think the stacking should be fairly nice too.

Hoping I didn’t get too distracted by getting outdoors setup. It was the first year for it though and with just a patch of dirt in a fence to start it was a lot of work.

A few of my outdoor garden. Just getting started and still a trellis behind, but it’s coming together. Got the wildflowers in late because of how long it took for the snow to melt. Leave it to me to find my passion for gardening right after I move to the Arctic.

Indie’s clone started struggling with magnesium right before transplant and the transplant shock hasn’t helped. She’s still kicking though and the new growth looks promising. Hera’s clone is thriving and about outgrew the cloning cup. Trying an experiment with companion planting strawberries to boost terpenes. Those are the 3 extra in each pot.

The triploids sprouted, but one (Karma) sprouted completely above ground including Taproot? I saw this starting to happen and tried to gently cover it but it was all the way out of the ground like it was crawling away. Then the seed shell was partly stuck and cut off one of the cotyledons accidentally while getting it back in. Pretty ironic with the names. I took a seeding dibb and pushed the Taproot back under. :crossed_fingers:t2: Otherwise looking really healthy.

Lil bastard. Was the medium too dense and pushed up instead?

That’s a great theory! I think maybe I just had the seed a little shallow and upside down. The dib poked through pretty easily and the coco coins soaked longer than usual. Never know though and I did squish the clone holes down.

Hired a couple of guards for the garden. Guard Zen and Guard Zane.

Maybe I smoke too much but I keep coming back to the seedlings’ given names and growth patterns. Karma having to lose half herself to :crossed_fingers:t2: grow stronger :crossed_fingers:t2: and lucky catching all the breaks and growing almost too fast :flexed_biceps:t2: :police_car_light:.

Given I named them prior to sprouting, it begs the question if they were fated and the name came to them after or does a name assume some role in fate. I believe many cultures have actions define someone’s name. Doing it this way does give a name a kind of spiritual element that feels truer than a given name but how deep into the life web does that traverse? In either case, do you assume good or bad karma from a name alone?

Been trying to connect to my Celtic Pagan roots and have always felt a draw to animistic beliefs and practices. As an “empath” I’ve always felt a deeper tie to something unseen and you know what I’d really like to see it.

I’ve read some on those threads and have them bookmarked. Definitely considering it.

I’m a regular Ricky Ricardo, I love Lucy. Clearest I’ve ever felt was on the stuff dreams are made of though and I didn’t even go mad hatter with the tea just a sprinkle on some smoke.

I’m a little worried about the vomiting because of a bad experience with some cold and sinus I took to find God that ended pretty roughly and abruptly. My gut’s a mess and trying to get it right by gardening. Also worried I am terrible with cacti due to my blue thumb. It does seem like a great gateway to the awakening though and I’ve always been very interested.

I get board with Lucy quickly and goto sleep. I am well traveled, and childs play no longer interests me. Ya 5MeO me?

I’m look for the mystic, reflecting inwards and out. Cacti is my sacrament to leave and travel the strings, reaching towards enlightenment. I have traveled dimensions and even spoken with gods.

I get you with the vomiting. It’s just part of the sacrifice to touch upon the web. I fast for 36-48 hrs to mitigate it and build up gut MAOs to absorb tryptamines. On a great ride, once you pop, you’re done with mystical.

As far as the blue thumb part. Great! They absolutely love water. They’re jungle cacti. You can even grow them hydroponically.

Lately Been trying out the Dx and 2C products from Shulgan’s work.

You like to extract. You can make pills and avoid the guessing for dose and vomiting.

Edit: I tend to fall in the 800mg - 1 g dosing

Nice! Honestly didn’t even really know that was a thing.

I’ve dabbled with the basics but never fully with spiritual intent. I’ve been wanting to try a spirit ceremony though and this seems like the best and most accessible path.

I’ve done a couple of oil extracts from trimmings. I wanted to get one of those fancy machines that does it though for quick infusions too.

Never used one. I still use masons, crockpot, etc. I know Merlin :man_mage: loves his Tor

Should I cull my lady Jane? With the lower energy at germination and the Bloom switch timing and quantity mistakes on my part this round I’m not sure she’ll produce much of anything. Also a little concerned she might herm on me still and she’s pretty inaccessible for inspection of all the little sites. I’m only about 3-4 weeks from harvest I’d guess but definitely don’t want any late grow surprises.

The other ladies are looking pretty good in general. This is always the stressful part for me watching the leaves go wild and not doing anything. Really pretty colors though.
