These are the first pictures I have posted due to not knowing how. Thanks to my wife for pointing out the camera icon. DUH…
The first tent is about ready for the switch, theres 2 GSCE,2 Critical Mass,a Mimosa Evo and an LSD.The second tent will be ready soon too, about the same lineup. Thanks to everybody on here who’s knowledge I am stealing as fast as I can.
I am growing in organic soil with organic fertilizer with several amendments, bone meal, blood meal worm casings, etc.Kind of a hot soil, but no nute burn with this mix.
looking good. Did they just get watered?
Yes,just got done a few minutes ago.
I see. those are some big ol fan leaves. How do you usually trim up your plants? (new grower here)
I trim up the bottom using the Kyle Kushman method and mostly leave the fan leaves alone until later in flower, some will do defoliation but I believe the leaves need to be there for awhile maybe the last couple weeks.Thats just me though, others here may have other ideas
good stuff. thanks for the input. I think I took to many fan leaves when I defoliated recently but I am really crowded So I had to do something to get that air flow in there. Lesson learned. We just didnt expect all 12 to make it when we germinated them. (4 are in 4x4)
They’ll grow back pretty fast and airflow is important. I just prefer not to but there are two schools of thought on this.Good luck with your grow,it’s exciting when it comes together!
thanks. Ill be watching to see how yours turns out.
They are looking great man I’ll tag along
Thanks,I’ll post some more when they start flowering, switching to 12/12 tonite
Looking good, what size are your tents?
They are 4×8×72" tall.6 plants in 10 gallon smart pots seems to be about right.I have tried more, too crowded, and less,2 big plants in 20 gallon pots but too much wasted area, great yields about 10 oz.a plant, but Scrogging works way better with better overall yields.
Plants look very happy nice and dark green. Looks like your mix is hitting on all the NPK. Love the color of the cat.
Thanks,@kellydans,I am learning a lot on this site from you guys, thxnks for the feedback. The cat’s a real sweetheart
You bet!
Sounds great, on my first photos, trying to figure how many fit in a space, thanks
Curious as to your mix. I do the same and mix my own. It is also hot. My first transplant is into 6" nursery pots with a mix that is not as nutrient rich. When they go into final 5 gallon fabric pots filled with “hot soil mix” they are ready for it and take it in stride.
