I did stress a little the first time, And the very first time I left them by themselves, I lost communication with my controllers. That hasn’t happened since, but I don’t have anyone to tend to them when I go so, gotta do what I gotta do. I can kind of tell now if something is going haywire if there is a drastic change.
The time investment (leave the money out of the equation) and how attached we get to them is enough for the average grower like me to cause anxiety haha.
We are not average growers.
Our anxiety grows exponentially.
I love staying home after 45 years of time going somewhere, else.
PTSD sufferer after 4-hours away, I am pretty sure.
Took my first 3-months of growing to sleep at night.
Now I sleep and the Cloudline Controllers have the watch.
Our weather is not predictable, but after watching my indoor system for 3- grows, I can control some days better than others.
Need some advice here. I’m looking for more of the relaxing, euphoric, seductive type effects.
Ready or not? (I know, I hate it when people ask this as well)
Then she is not ready. Lots of clear trichomes and not a lot of amber. The sweet spot for what you want would be all cloudy with about 30% amber…
Okay, so now let’s go with a long overdue update.
First, here’s the last couple oz of the future #1. I fell like I kind of rushed the drying process at about one week hanging, then to bags. Still has the fresh hay bale smell. I’m told the effects are on point but the smoke was a bit harsh at first.
Next is the first batch of the Jelly Donutz. Didn’t touch the drying tent for 2 weeks, and still a bit hanging at almost 4 weeks. The smell is much better. Smells a bit like a sweet cleaning solvent.
Next we’ll go to an oddball (in a good way). My prize Strawberry Gorilla (1 of 2)
I have 2 Strawberry Gorilla Autos and 2 Cherry Cola Autos that looked like seedlings for almost 5 weeks, then totally blew up. I’m so glad I stuck it out with them. The Stawberry Gorilla plants are going to be massive producers.
The 2 Cherry Cola are a bit behind and a bit smaller but look like they will be “average”?
Interesting pheno thing. Look how one of them turns their leaves up, and one turns them down.
And the we have some AMAZING ILGM Granite Haze F5 Autos that I started when I was Leary as to whether the other Autos were going to come around. These things are massive at over 5 feet tall and totally loaded with buds.
Lastly, the next gen got soaked on Saturday the 12th and went into coco solo cups Sunday. First sign of life this morning.
California Octane Triploids. I will also be try cloning with them. It will be my first time cloning.
This is my first update from my phone. I have always done it from my laptop in the past. So forgive me if it’s kinda sketch.
Thanks to all that have helped me get this far.
@Bjenks540
Beautiful nicely done
Thank you @kaptain3d , It’s at about 11 weeks now. I’ll let her run for another week or 2 then and check again.
Hey man so you get the hay smell out from drying process or the curing process? I’d like to learn what to do before that time comes so I’m not sitting there with my dinkle in my hand wondering what to do but everything looks wonderful my guy! I applaud you and hope I get to harvest beautiful buds like yours
“What causes cannabis to smell like hay?
Chlorophyll is breaking down and degrading. If chlorophyll isn’t allowed to break down enough, or properly, the flowers will retain that grassy or hay-like smell.”
Careful drying and a good cure will allow for the breaking down of the chlorophyll and getting rid of that hay smell
What he said
and patience drying and curing I feel is worse than waiting to chop
Can I get the full process if one of you guys have the time? I’d greatly appreciate it
My second go around at drying I let them dry slower. I have a 2x2 tent set up with a 4 inch inline exhaust fan on a AC Infinity controller. The outside temp and humidity is about 70F and 60% RH. I kept the bottom 2 vents of the tent open and let the exhaust fan run on 5. I hung the full plants in the tent. If the RH got below 70% I would shut the exhaust fan off and see how high the RH would creep back up. Once the RH crept back up over 80% I would turn the exhaust fan back on. I did this for a little over 2 weeks and then started opening the tent up to let it completely air out while I was doing feedings a things. That’s been well over 3 weeks now and the RH is now stable at about 68% RH. So I’ve been trimming and bagging (in Grove bags with 62% packs) as I have time. This second harvest smells totally different and the RH in the bags goes down a little bit every day.
Awesome thank you so much for that!
So it’s safe to throw rh packs in the bag even if the rh isn’t under 62? How many you throw in just one per bag? I plan on using jars but I’m taking it as same concept. You think bags are better than jars?
Just one pack. It is my understanding the packs work both ways up and down. They come with a little card with a pick dot. You put the card in the bag as well and if the pink dot turns blue you replace the pack.
Are these the boveda packs? Thanks man
I’m using these.
Hey brother how’s your day going? Which bags do you use to cure I see many different kinds on Amazon and do you prefer dry trimming or wet trimming?
