Halos for feed irrigation. I’m already not a fan.
May I ask why about the halos.
to much flow, to fast. If I only run 30 seconds at a time, I get about the runoff I want, but it doesn’t properly distribute the feed in the full circle of the Halo. If I run it longer to really “light up” the Halo, I get crazy runoff, like a gallon+ per pot. I’m running a 30W pump at 550 GPH and only about 5’ of 1/2" ID hose, so I would think that would deliver fast enough.
So I went out of town on Tuesday the 4th, returned on the 12, and left my grow on cruise control. Lights and environment via AC Infinity Controller 69 Pro Plus, Feed system, Timer, Pump and Halo rings. Aside from a bit of spilled runoff, It went smoothly.
For those who look at their plants every day and wonder about growth rates.

Did some fixing and some rearranging on a few of the tents today.
3 plants got the chop at almost 12 weeks of flower. Let them hang in the 2x4 for 24 hours until they shrunk enough to put in the 2x2. 2-Future #1s from Kind seed Co. and 1-Bubba Kush from Barneys Farm.
The 5x5 was finally able to shed a few plants, giving me room to redo the the irrigation lines and dial in the Halos. 3 feeds per day with about 4 cups of runoff total per day per plant. The left side (larger plants) are the Strawberry Gorilla Autos and the right side is the ILGM Granite Haze F5 Autos.
One of the 2x4s got the 2 Cherry Colas Autos out of the 5x5.

Better lights now, fixed it.
I was setting my light by published data on that last run and never ran the light over 70%. I have a PhotoBio Par meter now and I’m at 850 ppfd at 90%. I’m curious to see if there is much difference.
How do you manage the runoff?? This is a badass system, that you left for 8 days and they were still kicking it.

I set the timers to get about 4 cups per plant per day. I use HDX 27 gallon totes for reservoirs. My plants are on risers in bases that hold about 2 gallons. When I go out of town I back the timers down slightly so I only get about 2 cups per plant per day.
I’m using a shop vac to empty the bases and that is the sucky part.
