My first flip.. HELP!

Hello again, Below are the 3 photo plants (Future #1 from Kind seeds on left and right, Bubba Kush from Barneys Farm in the middle) that I kept of the 7 I started. 2 days ago I switched them to 12/12 because I was worried about the size the were getting in this little 2x4 tent. They are about 7-8 weeks since germination. They are in about 65/35 coco/perlite. I’m using the FF Cultivation Nation trio (Grow, Micro and Bloom) for nutrients plus calmag once daily , and a bit of Rhino Skin Silica about once a week. 900ppm and 6.0ph in, about 700-900ppm and 6.5-6.8ph coming out.
Now what?
My concerns are the large amount of leaves on the top of the canopy on the 2 Future #1 plants. They seem to LOVE being defoliated. When I do, They pump out new leaves faster than I can cut them off. Can I/ Should I continue to try the defoliate up top?
Second, The 2 corner fans are taking up valuable real real estate I could be routing new growth to. Can I move the fans below the canopy?
And any other advise would be greatly appreciated. Any Nute Supplements?

Week three of flip you can defoliate some. My gal was WAY more leaf filled and was just fine. Plants look great btw.

Could prob lollipop below either of these red lines. Of course the middle plant is shorter so adjust for that. My next grow I do I’m going to try that and not leave her so bushy.

I would lollipop them like @Serf said, and I would continue defoliating as needed to keep light getting to bud sites, don’t take any that aren’t blocking light, leaves are solar panels.

So remove fan leaves below those red lines? Nothing on the top to let more light through to the potential lower bud sites?

I’m still new myself, but you could selective trim top fan leaves but she is about to start her stretch. For me I’d wait till stretch is over to take from the top. You would remove any leaves, bud sites, branches, etc below the line of choosing. Well, branches you don’t think will reach canopy. You can leave those on. I did because I was a tad nervous about lollipopping but having my first grow done not worried about it anymore. You can do that now if you wanted or wait for the stretch period to stop as to not add stress.

So those fans in the back of the tent stick out a long way and block the back corner scrog net holes. Can I move those fans to below the canopy and point them upward?

You mean these?

You could leave them as is or try tucking and moving some tops around in the scrog. The middle plant could be scrunched/redistributed up some going in the direction of the door.

You could also pluck the larger fans against the tent if they won’t get any light.

EDIT:
Ah below the fan. Sorry been a long day brain isn’t firing perfectly.

Yes you could. That’s how I ran my fan in my last grow and I didn’t have any negative effects

If you just fliped them wait till after the stretch and then lollipop and defoiliate. The just pic leaves as needed

They are kind of bulging out of the door opening already. But I can keep pulling them that way. They do seem tobe fine that way.

Unless making a lot of oils as I do the potential down low is really nill. I leave a lot but stage harvest. All larf and little stuff to oils. That line looks good. Make that the hard deck and concentrate from there up I suggest.

Looking good Growmie, set your exhaust fan to run 24/7 versus the lights on/off schedule, defoliate at 21 and 42 days in of the flower period. :love_you_gesture:

@Lostgirl I need your assistance. I have acquired all the Advanced Nutrients products for the Master Grow and Master Bloom recipes. I have 9 ssedlings/early veg (3 weeks out of the grown) and 3 plants in reflower( 1 week since flip). I’m switching from Fox Farm Cultivation Nation trio and Calmag. What is the best way to mix the AN nutrients and in what order? and what would be the best way to transition from my old nutrients?
Thank you.

Can you take a picture of the advanced nutrient bottles that you have please. Also what soil are you using for these girls?

I asked for a picture because you said you have all the products (and that’s a lot)

The Tarantula, Nirvana, Overdrive and Flawless finish will be here Friday. Should I wait until then to start? I.m in 65/45 Coco/Perlite. The 9 seedlings in 2 gallon fabric pots will be culled to 2 or 3 in 2 weeks and go into 5 gal fabric pots. The 3 in preflower are in 5 gallon fabric pots. The photos got pretty dark, but in front are PH Perfect Sensi Coco Grow A+B and PH Perfect Connoisseur Coco Bloom A+B

@OGIncognito
Do you defoliate in the veg state? If when, how do you do it? Tx

I’ll pluck larger leaves along the way and do a decent pre light flip defoliation followed up on day 21 and 42 of flower but still pluck along the way :love_you_gesture:
