It was snagged from what I believe is group of old school outdoor growers that go by “3 little birds”. They use to be very active on some of the older forums. I’m sure a few web searches would provide plenty of feedback. I think @Drinkslinger posted an almost identical recipe from a different forum the other day.
I’m not saying it’s the best, and probably not the cheapest. But it works pretty good and like I said you still get that bottle flexibility. Just don’t skip that bubbling with an air stone for 24 hours. Really seems to get everything active in the mix.
It’s certainly not cheap. I used about a quart each of the grow and catalyst and 1/2-3/4 quart of the bloom for 4… then 3 plants. My new order for those is by the gallon.
Bubbling with an air stone is imperative. They recommend 24-48 hours. I find that 36-40 is the sweet spot. At that point the pH has risen to high 6 low 7. The “foam” buildup also seems to peak around then. Bubbling longer kills off the microbes and the foam diminishes.
This is my first grow with earth juice, and other than a few hiccups due to my inexperience with it, I’d say the plants love it. My goal is to get away from the chemical bottles and grow happy healthy plants. Fox farm nutes work but I feel like I’m feeding my plants fast food and twinkies.
That was my exact problem. The ‘twinkies n fast food’ im sure its better then straight water diet though . Ok so next big grows are lights and earth juice by the gallon. Honestly think im going lights next splurge. Gonna try to build 2 12x12s if i can. Bookmarking and adding them to cart tho. Thanks guys
I’ll be honest, if you meet the npk requirements there’s not a lot of differences from the potential of one line of nutes to the next. Organic vs synthetic is a different story, but you can grow plenty of good weed with synthetics. I would definitely go after lights first.
I’ll probably be switching to a synthetic dry mix just for cost purposes.
Yes 2 of the 100~ watt builds we talkd over with 280nm strips. And ive read a few times long as u flush its fine. And my grow store says everytime i go in there that ‘if you arent growing to sale with ‘organic’ on the label its really not worth the investment. Just was me tryna be semi healthy. If not going with the bottle could u recommend some ingredients to be bubbled into a tea?
If you have a good compost, couple cups of that with some kelp meal and molasses can go a long way. Alfalfa meal is good too, fish hydrolysate, rock dust, humic and fulvic acids are all stuff commonly added.
Any special kind pf molasses? (Sorry for the million questions)

So we’ll start with the kush’s. Mrs Green was topped July 19 (9 days ago) with the intent on mainlining. Somewhere along the line i fell in love with her appearance (she is now my tallest of the 4) she is at 5 nodes from the stem. 6th are showing healthily. All nodes ahowing 3 finger leaves. I gave them .5 a tablespoon of fish emulsion in 16 oz of water and force feed them wednesday (july 25) and it didnt burn anyone. She has weird 1 finger leaves coming off the second nodes. Never seen that before but
Next up is Ms Biege. She was a straggly (not enough dirt in pot) stretchy tall glass of water. So i filld her pot n chopped her top yesterday. Not much to say on her. Just maybe i can pull the mainline trigger… maybe.
Next up… Ms Red fine tail… she is the widest do to insane amount of training. I had to pull the hangars because her leaves kept touching dirt when she sleep. Ended up having to chop the first true sets of leaves and she is still working on her 8th nodes. Startd 5 fingering at 6. N i just love her like a fat kid n cookies. Cropped her main stem the other day (complete accident but goes GREAT with how i trained her) now she will get a week free from bondage n we will rebegin her training.
Finally Ms Blue. She was my strong start but the bondage… has slow her a tad. Removed her shackles as well. But the damage has been done. Her stem has the cool looking swirl going on around the area she wraps the pot. Has had 5 finger leaves since node 5 and is pushing 8 out. Slight burn from high watering but nothing too bad. First true set may get the cut as well…
What is with the light green shading at the lower section of the girls? Think they are hungry? Im actually ready to up pot them all but ill try to give it another week.

2 weeks since first pistils! Im moving start of flower to today!
Berry Bomb - 49 days old - 1st official day of flower. She is smelling WONDERFUL (especially in the am) the pistils are everywhere. Calyx as well. I wonder how long til she is ready?

Im thinking they are about ready to transplant. The hold up is the added pot size means 2 of the girls will be relicated to permanently outside. May go another week before i transplant.
First up is Ms Beige. I topped her 8 days ago. Her new growth is looking very nice. Think i will top her again in a week or so and make 4 tops early.
Ms Blue and Ms Red are both my lst subjects. They have been untied for a week. So today/tomaro im tying them both back down. Just a bit to prepare them for the next pots.
