It may have been asked but couldn’t find what I was wanting to ask. Any I have two plants there photo and are in about 1 gallon pots and are flowering but are almost 5 feet tall and the small pot can’t hold it up and roots are showing out the bottom some. When is it to late to move to a bigger pot and is it worth the risk at this point ?
Wassup bro! I’d say if the plant isn’t flowering, it’s safe to up pot her to a 3 or 5 gallon. What medium are you using & are you indoors or outdoors? Is the plant flowering? I would say it’s too late when the growth is stunted but you have everything perfect (eg, temp, humidity, pH, nutes, etc,) and still can’t find a cause to why the plant is stunted, but at 5 feet, I’d say she’s doing good. How old is the plant?
Pics please. Visual inspection is a primary component of assistance. Just from your description your light is either insufficient or not set properly. 5 ft growth in a 1 gallon tells me that. 1 gallon is a VERY small pot unless a sog. Requires much more attention. Life will not flourish. Feeding and watering can become a chore easily mismanaged.
Now that I whined about pot size lets answer your question.
How long in flower?
If far into flower use stakes or something to hold her upright and finish off. Next plants minimum 3 gal auto 5 gallon photo.
Cloth pots or plastic? If cloth you will want to prepare bigger pots soil. Leave a 1 gallon hole in the center. Cut 1 gallon pot down 4 sides. Peel back. Drop the whole thing in the hole. Fill in and go forth.
All these suggestions will hinge on our ability to visually inspect. Looking forward to some pictures and more intel.
I currently have some 4-5 ftrs at 5 weeks flower in 1 gals and can assure you that it is a chore to keep them balanced. Even with stakes.
Feeding every 24-36 hours by hand.
I also have plenty of light for them at 1200 w of hps in 2 30 x 40 vented hoods.
If they get dry , they will fall over.

@Aaron1 Like @Storm said. Pics would help us help you better.
Very very nice for small pots. Takes some experience to pull that off . And a lot of love/work. I am far too lazy for that
Am I looking at some big old school Bulbs there?
Thanks Brother.
It’s a bit of a battle and been second guessing my decision to run them that small but really like the quick recovery after a feed.
Those are a couple 600 w hps hortilux thru my tent glasses to kill the orange glow they give off. Yes.
Grin. My climate is way too hot. I used them a while then jumped the led train years ago. Hps grows good friggin weed in flower. Do you have the mh for veg?
Oh yes. Also have a 1000w mag ballast and both bulbs if I really need to but that gets pretty expensive quick and have to do some juggling with the outlets to make sure I don’t trip any breakers.
It’s Colder here. -9 c / 15 f here this morning so the heat is needed.
They keep the room at 75 ish f during lights on.
Room is 11x14.
I use them lights also but i run 3 400watt. If you are able to you can just set it down in bigger pot put something to weight it down rocks or soil @Oldguy
@Reed71 . I’ve got some 2 1/2 gal buckets that I might use. Should be able to brace them in those.
If I do some digging around I think I’ve got some stuff in the basement that could work.
Just me bein lazy is the delay.
Anything outside is buried on snow now tho.
Yea about anything will work to hold it down happy growing my friend
Thank you good sir.
And same to you.
Your welcome my friend
There healthy and still growing but are in flower and are around 4 months old been in flower for over 30 days or more. Lights are spider lights two of the 1200 led ones that were referred to me from here on this site. Watering isn’t to bad since indoors but when they get dry they will fall over have them staked. Was just wanting to know if transplanting to bigger pot would shock them and cause an issue. Lights are off now but will post pics later of them. I’m not concerned the are stunted cause they are still putting out new growth and smell so good.
Have 4 total only two have gotten that tall but all are in the same stage. When I first got them from a friend they were pretty bad stretching due to overcrowding and light being to hi but have done amazing since I have had them.
Pics posted. I believe mine are at same stage as yours are. And yes they have started using more water now. That is why I asked about moving to bigger pot not out of concern for being unhealthy or stunted just to get best bang for the buck and not stress them at this stage.
@Aaron1 So long as you can keep up with the feeding and watering you should be ok to finish in the 1 gals.
A 3 gal would give you another day between feedings tho. And a lil more base for balance so they stay upright.
Yours don’t look as far developed as mine from your pics.
I’m at 5 weeks since flip and saw budlets at 10 days after that.
That’s at 35 days since flip. So 25 actual flower time.
Which lights are they. Pic of the label on them would be great.
They’re not likely 1200 w draw from the wall.
But that’s only a guess at this point.
Planties look good bro! Like @Oldguy said above, you should be good to finish in the 1G, you just have to stay on top of watering/feeding. What nutrients are you using? I noticed some of your leaf tips have nute burn. You might want to check the pH/ppm at run off. Also, looks like you’re about 30-40 days from harvest. It can vary from strain to strain, but 60-80 days is the average Flower time. Some can go for even longer but treat her right and she’ll do the same for you, good job so far bro
Happy frog soil with some ocean forest mixed in and using liquid Fox farm swapping over to bloom big soon. Ph I will have to check it have been using bigger pots on others but wasn’t sure what these were going to do and didn’t expect such big plants have good results in past just wanted to make sure was ok in smaller pots 2 went tall and two stayed shorter so. Thank you will post light information when they come back on. They definitely are doing good just want to finish good
