lol 11 hours for me

not a problem, happy growing

@BudzMS damn :joy: that11hours will fly by

@TheRook no prob at all. Basically u can leave those very bottom branches bare, I trim those bud sites at the very bottom so the colas at the top get more energy and growth. Just be careful and go slow with the scissors, it’s very easy to accidentally snip something u didn’t mean to. Feel free to follow along on my grow journal, I got some GG4 going right now

and I did some Girl Scout Cookie Extreme auto in my last journal

Yeah, it’s a good start like @alexankh said but u could definitely take off more. Stay at the bottom, all unnecessary branches, stems and bud sites that aren’t getting much light or air, get rid of. I’ve read that u can safely trim up to 1/3 of the growth on a weed plant without sending it into shock. That’s usually about how much I aim to take off when I trim my plants. I space it out tho and wait a couple weeks between trimming and I don’t do it late into flower

Try to remove any dead leaves or pieces of leaves from the soil too. I toss it out. I don’t allow any dead plant matter in my tent at all

I deal with mold professionally. Mold will grow anywhere you have the right temp (indoors, piece of cake), something organic to eat (e.g. soil), and high moisture content or humidity. You already have spores floating about and looking for a nice spot to grow. Digging into the soil is a good way to send a bunch more into the air. Spritz the top of the soil with hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide will kill the mold it comes in contact with. Don’t soak the soil, as I don’t know what it will do to the roots. Think of peroxide kind of like an acid, in that it burns any organics it comes in contact with. Repeat 3 or 4 times at maybe 6-8 hour interval.

To keep it from returning aggressively you need to lower the moisture content of the soil. Cannabis likes a wet / dry cycle with the soil. After watering you need to let the soil dry out, almost to the point of wilting. The plants will dig that, and the mold will not.

Good luck. You’re at risk already, with airborne spores floating about looking for a moist place to thrive. Deny them a good place to live and you’re home free.

After trimming, no sign of the mold coming back. Thank you again for the aid.

I had similar mold issue and two things helped. getting some light and airflow through the canopy will help now and later. I put a couple fans underneath and no longer see mold.

That’s Mycorrhiza fungus, and it’s a good sign to see.

It forms a symbiotic relationship with the plants. See here, how it helps to pull the shell off this seedling.
