Does anyone have any experience with the Vapman Click vapes?
One of the Burmese plants is showing sex. It is a female. The other is starting to show but canāt tell which it is.
At this point I hope that I have one of each so that I can get a stash of seeds from this grow.
morning Merlin⦠those are some skinny leaves on that Burmese plant⦠hope you get what you want in seeds ā¦
I pollenated a couple of colas on the Northern Light plants from the community grow. Yesterday I collected several hundred seeds. Many are quite pale in color. I am going to try to germinate a few of them to see if they will crack. Many are quite dark with black claws.
one day I would like to do something like what you and others do⦠I think pheno hunting would be a fun time spent in the grow roomā¦
That would be fun and interesting. I am not doing anything as sophisticated as āpheno huntingā at this point. Just selectively and manually pollinating to get seeds. I donāt even need the seeds. I just like the idea of going full circle in my little grow room.
in my experience seeded plants do better in my grows than clones do⦠I think having the tap root makes them a stronger producer⦠so IMHO you are pheno hunting by getting seeds from plants you likeā¦vape on growmieā¦
Thanks ROG, I will take it.
This morning, I inspected the two Burmese 100% Sativa plants. As stated a few days ago, BUR-1 is female. BUR-2 is apparently a ānaturalā hermie, if such a thing exists. At 33 days BUR-2 has calyx with pistils and what certainly appear to be pollen sacks forming.
If this is so, I will grow them both to completion hoping for some seeds. I will just need to keep an eye on the plants from those seeds and cull any males or hermies that may come up.
I posted this because it is new to me. I suppose that the experienced growers and breeders have seen this many times. If I were trying to breed or to sell seeds I would cull the hermie so as to not propagate that trait. For personal use, not a big deal to me.
I am planning a few breeding projects in the near future, where i am breeding the following:
āMeigs County Gold F3 IBL
āMeigs County Gold F2 female x Lemon G Bx male
āLemon G Bx female x 89 NL #5 Bx male
ā89 NL # 5 Bx female x Meigs County Gold F2 male
Im hoping for a rejuvination/hybrids of some Ohio classics ! I will keep my friends updated on this stuff aswell, as i cant just sit on these gems and not spread the love to the people whom help me develop!
Hey @Twelve1, the Burmese may be starting to show the dark colored foliage that attracted me to it. I am not certain just yet. I will get a photo of the leaves tomorrow.
Either dark colored foliage or some sort of nutrient issue.
Cool, I mean if the color is itās natural dark color, I look forward to seeing the pic tomorrow.
And interesting about the hermie plant, should be fun.
Should be āitsā.
The Burmese plants are 34 days old. I think that I am seeing darkness forming in the foliage.
This is a breederās photo of this strain that seduced me to purchase the seeds.
My hope is that I get some dark foliage.
Here is the whole plant:
This closeup of the leaves is showing darkness forming along the veins. Will it continue? Is it due to genetics or some sort of nutrient issue? Only time will tell.
Comments and criticisms are welcome.
Looks like a nice Sativa plant. How long is the flowering time supposed to be?
I just double checked the real seed company web site, they donāt give a flowering time estimate. Excellent question.
donāt true sativaās typically take 10 or more weeks to finishā¦
I donāt have any personal knowledge so will accept what you say @Retiredoldguy.
This is a 100% Sativa landrace strain.
I have no growing experience either just what I think I remember reading ⦠it helps to explain why some hybrids take longer than the typical 8 weeksā¦they have more of the sativa in them than the indica⦠maybe???
Exciting, to me it looks like dark foliage is forming.
If itās a nute issue, then the plant looks pretty damn good for being āsicklyā.
Thanks for the pics!
I zoomed in, and it seems that the color changes are all over the plant?
Wonderful training, and Iām digging those skinny leaves!
