Merlin's Grow Log (Part 2)

Good morning my friends.

If you are following the WTE-3 saga you will want to see this!

WTE-3 is the White Thistle (from the community grow seeds) that came up with only one cotyledon and, initially no center growth.

Here is a little sequence from the first photo that I took until today.

Day 2

Day 3

Day 5

It is starting to take off despite the rough beginning.

Wow, what a wonderful weirdo! (I wasn’t going for a “w” alliteration, but there it is.)
She’s very cool, and will be fun to watch.

What is this strain of which you speak?
:face_with_hand_over_mouth: I kid, we know what it is. :winking_face_with_tongue:

LOL White Truffle LOL

I am always making that mistake in my mind but have mostly caught it when posting. I am preoccupied with thistle because I have been cutting down thistle on our property for the past five weeks. LOL

Is WTE-3 a triploid?

LOL It is not far enough along for me to see that.

Looks like a magic trick shes a tough one for sure :sign_of_the_horns::sign_of_the_horns:

Hey @Strungthru here is WTE-3 at 7 days from sprouting. I don’t think it is a triploid. It will be larger than a couple of them that sprouted properly before long.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have done nothing to help this seedling along. I just provide the growing environment and see what they do.

My next decision will be what to do with these seedlings. I only sprouted them in order to determine if all 10 of my community grow seeds behave like auto flowers and also whether they start flowering super early like two of the three that I dropped for the community grow.

I can leave them in solo cups and discard them when they show sex. I can leave them in solo cups and grow them to harvest as some have done with “solo cup grows”. I have never tried that. Finally, I can move them to 1 - 5 gallon pots and grow them to harvest.

Decisions decisions. What to do with all this weed?

@merlin44 I trust that you’re keeping the same (6/2?) light schedule, especially that the Burmese is on it?
You’ve never had any problems with it, if I recall.

I forgot the poster, someone said the white thistle :winking_face_with_tongue: could be sensitive to that schedule, but maybe a good/better experiment would be to leave everything the same?

Might be a good opportunity to do at least one solo grow, and maybe also a Kap Torture Project or two?

Have you ever grown outside, or would it just be deer food? :deer:

Now you understand my dilemma, I love growing and using but my consumption is a fraction of my growing capacity. :joy:

This and more possible issues with pests and mold. I will stay indoors.

As you assumed, 6/2.

By the way @Twelve1, the Burmese are responding to LST very well.

I hear ya, and you’ve got the indoor method down very well.

Throw them in a box with bubble wrap and overnight them to me, forgot that option :joy:

Geez, my apologies. I did forget to mention that option. :joy:

The Burmese 100% Sativa plants are doing well and responding to training as I had hoped. They are 31 days old under 6/2 light schedule.

It is odd to see the skinny leaf structure on these as I am accustomed to growing hybrids that more often show wider leaf fingers.

Wishing everyone a great summer! :vulcan_salute: :man_mage:
