Can a feminized plant be pollinated with a regular male and not produce hermaphrodite offspring?
Yes it can but whether a hermaphrodite occurs is going to be dependent on the individual genetics. You will end up with “regular” seeds that are a cross between the two.
Cool, wanted to make sure that hermaphroditism wasn’t inherent in feminized seed genes
Great info.
Good luck
@Popz thanks
In the 90’s I made some different hybrids from a few sensi seed strains and seeds I got from a grower in Humbolt.
The strain from Humbolt was special in that every leaf had an even amount of blades. The breeder added that trait to identify his strain. Ever since I saw that in action, I was hooked on genetics.
Got to take a ride to see the folks at Honey Dew Farms in Humboldt county this Spring.
I want to find a strain that blows my head off as I was medicated for 20 years on 6 opioids. Haha plus I’d like to see their operation.
Good luck with your experiments I am sure you will do well.

@Popz thanks. Your tours of the farm sounds interesting.
I’m growing outdoors and working with the following:
- 10 ILGM Afghani photo fem
- 10 ILGM sour diesel photo fem
- 10 ILGM northern lights photo reg
- 10 Sensi seeds skunk #1 photo reg
- 10 Sensi seeds Mex Sativa photo reg
We will see what I can make out of these.
I’m sure you will do great
sorry am a newbie and don’t follow the lingo sometimes, what does photo mean in the term photo fem, photo reg? have seen it other places and not sure what it is?
Photo is a regular photoperiod seed, meaning it needs a change in the light schedule to induce flowering.
The opposite of an auto flowering strain.
