You said, “this time” so I have been looking into a press, but was told you have to have some lil micron baggies. How’s the coffee filters work out and what temp on your plates?

The micron bags, yeah they are worth it if you are “donating,” or you are a purist. that also depends on the cultivar and what you are pressing. And how you are consuming. If I’m doing flower I do it straight flattened and compressed and put into parchment paper. Specially with a glass rig I wouldn’t care. But when impurities make it into your wax it dirties the rig faster, and leads to a harsher hit. Or in my case the seahorse. Which means I’m replacing coils a lot more frequently.
If I was “donating” everything with a press I’d definitely use the bags. The micron ratings come with freshness or input material. Idk enough on the subject to really talk about it. I’d do BHO on a closed loop all day long if I had the opportunity. However not all plants will press. You can’t get wax from all of them. Maybe a couple little globs. Some will just be wasted unless you keep and use the pucks for edibles.
The coffee filter works great for Kief. Considering I’m using a hair straightener the return is fantastic. And will likely press all the Kief I have from midnight snack. This method doesn’t work well with everything though. It’s easy to waste flower.

Made up some gift joints
mixed rosin, second layer snake and Kief dip
then caked in Kief and wrapped in plastic wrap for delivery

My GFOG came out super greasy. Got a line on a used press. Lil table top unit 3x5 plates I like a lil live rosin now and again. Tried some blue raspberry truffle sauce, recently and the terps were off the chain. But I almost immediately have to take a tolerance break after or flower does Nada for me.

Yeah I get that. Potent stuff, but the high has a short life. The terps are unreal on these concentrates.

Took a couple of those joints out of the jar today to give to the hippie helper. Was sitting in the lunch box on ice. Soon as the lid cracked it flooded the air… omg. Loud AF.
I may have already replaced 1 or 2… lol!

Lots of deck swimming pool calling out sun was hot today for sure. Freak rain storm for 10 minutes no power but back, started thinking generator but lights on at 6 no problem. Joints made my mouth water and never really have been but then theres thos exceptions lol brother
