“Lotus method” without the modifications?

Trying to get a better understanding of this practice. When I look at forums guys are talking about making all these modifications to the fridge and I’m not trying to do all of that.

I’ve been doing couple of runs of lights on and lights off and can tell that I won’t have the ideal temp and humidity to dry the flowers.

This was the model I was looking into getting in about a month or two.

Any bit of info on this topic or another way to go about drying I’m all ears.

Your post got me to look up “Lotus Method”. I just can’t see how you will control the humidity or dew point. Maybe the claim is they do not matter if they are cold.

I think the cold inhibits mold growth and there is a fan built inside to circulate air to keep the bottles the same temperature. Also there are uv blockers on the door so I don’t know lol that’s why I posted here.

Is the idea that you open the door periodically to get rid of moisture?

Note: I have a Cannatrol and have to empty the drain collection bin every day for the first few days of the dry cycle. That is where the question comes from.

From what I’ve read is you leave the fridge shut for two weeks and then it’s good to cure. I’ve also read some forums where people neglected to remove them for 6 weeks and it cured in the fridge as well.

Can get into some rabbit holes and crazy theories when you search long enough, just wanted to see if anyone’s input matched up with what I’ve read to have more confidence in this method.
