Virginia doesn’t allow the sale of the anything over 190 I think the guy at the ABC store said. Can’t you get 198 proof off of Amazon?

The experts in alcohol extraction say 190 proof is necessary to get the best results due to the water present. If you can get it though.

You can get 100% on Amazon.

Love the “Extract * Infuse * Fortify” label!

I can get 190 Everclear 750ml for $10 here and I have to drive about 7 miles one way.

Realistically, it’s not so hard to produce for yourself if you want to… certainly easier than a 2000 mile drive lol. Different hobby I appreciate, but plenty of good references on how to get it done. Cost about $10/gallon.

Worth noting also that most commercial ethanol (including food grade) will contain a fair amount of impurities which could bring over unwanted flavors. You can smell (or taste) them if you dilute them. 4% is a lot of room for impurities to lurk. Not something I’d want to imbibe

Getting prepared for my first attempt at QWET, I’ve got a gallon of 95.6% chilling down in my deep freezer.
